Description
Apparatus for bringing gas and liquid into contact. The invention relates to a device in which gas and liquid are used for washing or for rectification are brought into contact with each other.
In the known devices in which gas and liquid in mutual contact are moved and in washing or rectification columns used is the diameter of the columns by the amount of gas and the liquid set in countercurrent up and down within the Pillar pour. The contact between gas and liquid is made by changing the Dimensions of the filling material or the rectification plates reached. With the known Devices, it is therefore necessary to wash or rectification columns of different Size to be produced depending on the type and amount of gas-liquid combination to be treated.
The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a device propose in the gas and liquid in countercurrent in contact with each other are brought and which can be produced with little effort, for example in mass production, can be manufactured as a block unit of a certain capacity, so that total units, z. B. washing or rectification columns, any capacity by joining let the block units build up. This object is achieved in that each Assembly comprises a plurality of thin vertical metallic plates, which in small distances arranged parallel to each other and inserted in between Gas-liquid contact elements are separated from one another and that each of these Contact elements are soldered or hard-soldered to the neighboring metallic plates is, whereby an integral composite block is created in which the gas-liquid contact elements arranged inclined alternately in opposite directions as flat sections and the flat sections are provided with a plurality of small holes. In order to achieve larger units, these structural units are expediently horizontal assembled and stacked to form a unit of the desired capacity.
The inventive design of the device is a downward flow the liquid ensures, with subsets of the liquid with a certain Depth at each lower junction of the flat sections Contact elements are jammed with the vertical metallic plates and as a result the upward Flow of the gas through the liquid creates a multi-stage or multi-stage contact effect is created.
Further features and advantages of the invention emerge from the following description of a preferred embodiment of the invention with reference to the this reproducing drawing. It shows F i g. 1 a spatial representation of a Unit which is built up from structural units of the device according to the invention, F i g. 2 shows a three-dimensional representation of the device according to the invention, with a section is cut away to expose the internal structure, and FIG. 3 is an enlarged Longitudinal section through part of the device shown in FIG.
F i g. 1 shows an arrangement which consists of a number of inventive Building units is constructed, with several building units 1 horizontally to form of a block are assembled and several such blocks are stacked on top of one another are.
A number of such stacks can be added to further increase capacity can be further joined together.
An arrangement 2 for distributing gas and liquid is preferred provided between adjacent stacks or layers of structural units.
An embodiment of the device according to the invention is shown in FIGS G. 2 and 3 shown. It consists of a number of thin metal plates 3 and one Number of gas-liquid contact elements 4.
The plates 3 are generally rectangular in shape with predetermined Dimensions to adapt to the capacity of the standard structural unit to be produced and are parallel with small spaces between them arranged to each other, while the gas-liquid contact elements 4 made of thin, metallic plates are made which have the same width as the plates 3, but in a zigzag shape are shaped into a number of alternating channels. The channels have sharp edges Bending points and are trapezoidal in cross-section, making them flat, slightly inclined Sections 5 and flat head sections 7 arise, as shown in FIG. 3 shown is.
A number of small holes 6 are in the flat sections 5 of the Contact elements 4 are provided. The head sections 7 of the contact elements 4 are with the thin, vertical metal plates 3 brazed. For hard soldering the plates 3 with the contact elements 4, their surfaces are covered with soldering flux and the assembled plates and contact elements in a high temperature bath (for example a salt bath) is immersed, creating a rigidly connected Block emerges.
Due to the slight inclination of the flat sections 5 of the gas-liquid contact elements 4 the liquid moves down along these, as is done by the with arrows drawn in full lines in FIG. 3 is shown and accumulates at the corners formed by the vertical metallic plates 3 and the flat sections S. are formed at the junctions, so that a certain depth of the liquid is maintained. When the accumulating liquid reaches a certain depth exceeds, the liquid flows down through the small holes 6 in the flat sections 5. Since the flat sections 5 lying one below the other each Gas-liquid contact element 4 are inclined in opposite directions, the liquid flows down a zigzag path through the small holes 6 and come with you the gas also flowing up through the holes 6 in contact, in one Area where the depth of the accumulated liquid is relatively shallow. The gas flow is indicated by the interrupted arrows in FIG. 3. This is the intensive contact of the gas with the liquid is ensured. Repeat this every time the gas passes through the small holes 6 in each flat section 5 of the gas-liquid contact element 4 flows into the channel below, so that thereby a multi-stage effect is achieved and the desired washing or rectification effect is obtained.
Assembled from the structural units of the device according to the invention Units can be run to any desired capacity by adding a suitable number of structural units composed. This eliminates the need to to design and manufacture such gas-liquid contact columns individually. Since gas-liquid contact elements are used in the device according to the invention lying between adjacent metallic plates becomes the multi-stage gas-liquid contact effect extraordinarily increased and thus created a high-performance unit.
The device according to the invention can be very easily implemented in large Manufacturing quantities and is therefore extremely economical. The assembling to a column of a certain capacity takes place very quickly and with little Costs.
