Description
Telescope Mountable in an Armored Vehicle The invention relates to an optically articulated telescope installed in an armored vehicle can be.
The optical joint is intended to ensure that the eyepiece of the Better adjusted eye level of the observer and, if necessary, on the head of the observer can be attached so that regardless of the particular location of the vehicle and It is possible to observe the vibrations that occur while driving. It has been shown that in the previously known arrangements of this type with deflection of the beam path via mirrors or prisms, the movement at the joint points is relative stiff and uneven. The cause of the stiffness lies in the necessary use of several bearing points, their design-related size, the associated temperature dependency and the fulfillment of the requirement Perfect dust and moisture-proof frame of the radiation-guiding parts. In addition, the expenditure on mechanical and optical parts is proportionate is high and that the resulting bulky structure causes considerable difficulties in housing the device and leads to cost increases. The main disadvantage however, is the hardly attenuated transmission of the shocks to the observer due to the ground the stiffness of the joints. The consequence of this is rapid signs of fatigue, if not even damage to the spine of the observer.
It is also known for image transfer between lens and Ocular in various observation devices a fiber optic device to use, which generally consists of a bandaged fiber strand, the individual fibers are close together. This gives the opportunity make changes in direction between the objective and ocular axes in a simple manner to be able to. The swivel range is, however, dependent on the length of the used Fiber strands. In addition, with such an arrangement there is practically no change in distance possible between objective and eyepiece.
The object of the invention is to avoid the above-mentioned Defects to create a telescope with an optical joint for military use, with a short overall length, a relatively large swivel range for the elevation and also with regard to shock absorption in various directions and improvements in maintaining equilibrium brings. The object is achieved according to the invention with a telescope of the type mentioned at the outset solved in that as an optical joint in a known manner between the lens and eyepiece arranged light-guiding fiber strand is provided on the two Ends bandaged, but at least in a partial area loosely with air gap between the individual fibers is guided and its objective-side end stationary as well its end on the eyepiece side by means of a spring pendulum acting in three dimensions is clamped and adjustable in an equilibrium position. Through such a facility easy movement is created without sealing difficulty.
A further improvement is achieved in that the eyepiece-side Telescope part is slidably mounted in a socket, which is gimbaled in is stored in a part that is fixed to the weapon or vehicle. The catchment point for the changes in movement in three directions it is mainly in the area of the fiber strand placed. The cardanic or spherical bearing can, in addition to the spring pendulum arrangement lie or be combined with this. Appropriately for the commuting Storage of omega springs is used, whereby the clamping of the springs is made in such a way that that the eyepiece automatically returns to its original position after the deflection. The tension of the springs can be adjusted in a manner known per se by changing the distance the driver can be adjusted to the pivot point of the joint; defining the desired The central position is achieved by adjusting the stationary stop.
To block in one or the other direction of movement if necessary to be able to make, the clamping elements with appropriate locking members equipped.
In a further embodiment of the inventive concept, the loose part is the fiber strand with a protective cover, preferably made of rubber or plastic, surround. The eyepiece connector provided with a forehead support is advantageous mounted movably in the axial direction in its holder (spring pendulum), wherein the range of motion is limited by two stops. In addition, the nozzle is standing under the action of a spring, through which he is against the viewing direction to the a stop is pulled. The position of the stops is chosen so that the center of the range of motion corresponds to the most favorable head posture of the observer. Of the As a result, the observer is forced to use the forehead support to face the eyepiece socket the spring action to advance to about the middle of the adjustment range. These Arrangement has the advantage that in the event of an unintentional backward movement of the head The eyepiece always remains in the eye of the observer.
The telescope provided with the explained optical joint permits not only better observation and aiming while driving, but also allowed also the pivoting of the lens according to the elevation angle of the weapon as well as a additional lateral movement, for example to take account of the page reserve. The eyepiece of the telescope can also be permanently mounted, with the joint then only if the direction of the lens changes in height and / or side is desired comes to. The telescope can be in any form, e.g. B. as straight vision or as Panoramic device be designed with a bent beam path.
The lens 1 of the telescope is carried by a holder 2, the is firmly attached to a turret or weapon. The one in the lens incoming rays are first fed to a flexible fiber strand 3, the individual fibers have a gap between them and then enter the eyepiece 4. The fiber strand 3 is surrounded by a protective cover 5 and at the ends by means of the bandages 6 and 7 mounted on the two telescope sockets 8 and 9. The nozzle 8 is by means of Suspended springs 10, the tension of which is adjustable.
Mittenlage erreicht.Through the optical joint formed by the fiber strand, the Objective and eyepiece axes are inclined to each other. There is also an adjustment of the both parts in axial direction to each other possible. Occurring shocks and vibrations, that are transmitted directly from the vehicle to the lens and eyepiece can be from be absorbed by the optical joint. This is done again by the spring arrangement an alignment to the zero or. Middle position reached.
The arrangement can also be used for lateral and height adjustment of the lens according to the lead angle and the elevation range of the weapon to undertake. This is in the drawing for the elevation angle through the dash-dotted line Lines 1 a, 1 b shown. The holder 2 is in this case with corresponding Equipped with adjusting means.
According to FIG. 2 to 4, the resilient clamping of the eyepiece is also assigned a cardanic suspension. It contains a sleeve 11 in which the eyepiece connector 8 can be displaced. The sleeve 11 can be rotated by means of two bolts 12 and 13 mounted in a cage 14. The cage itself can also be pivoted. Its axis 15 is mounted in the fixed support 16. The cage is returned to its central position by two omega springs 17, 18 (FIGS. 3 and 4) to which drivers 19, 20 are assigned. The driver 19 is attached to the sleeve 11 and the driver 20 to the cage 14. In addition, there is a stop 21 or 22 for each omega spring, which can be adjusted and which enables the exact center position to be adjusted.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 5 includes the eyepiece 23 its forehead support 24 and the telescope socket 8 axially displaceable in the sleeve 11 mounted and is under the action of a spring 25. The possibility of axial movement of the eyepiece is on the one hand of the bandage 6 serving as a stop and the collar 26 limited. The working position of the eyepiece, based on the most favorable head position of the observer, corresponds roughly to the middle of this possibility of movement.
