Dann wird der Kasten nach der Wand b verschoben und zugleich nach rechts gekantet, so dafs eine Stirnwand beklebt wird (Fig. 2). Hierauf wird der Kasten zwischen die Leisten / und I¹ der Wand b geschoben, wodurch die überstehenden Ränder des Papierstreifens rechtwinklig umgelegt und der die Bodenkante überragende Rand an den Boden angeklebt wird. Alsdann wird die bewegliche Leiste I¹ gegen die Leiste / vorbewegt; dadurch treten die Backen η η in die Schachtel ein, legen dabei den Papierstreifen um den Rand der Schachtel (Fig. 3) und kleben ihn an. Der hierfür erforderliche Druck wird durch die Federn d erzeugt, die bei dem der Pappdicke entsprechenden Abheben der Backen η angespannt werden. Jetzt gehen Schieber e und Schiene s unter dem Einflufs von (in der Zeichnung nicht angegebenen) Federn in ihre frühere Stellung zurück, und der Kasten wird nun abermals nach rechts gekantet; er kommtThe process is now as follows:
