The invention relates to a method for reducing the power loss and for increasing the * Permeability of silicon steel sheet with 2.75 to 3.5% silicon, up to 0.15% manganese, up to 0.05% carbon, Remainder iron and traces of impurities.
Silicon steel sheets with cast texture are known to be produced in the usual manner in that the hot rolled sheet cold rolled, annealed, cold rolled again and annealed and finally one Final annealing is subjected. It is known that ίο The achievable grain orientation also depends on the condition of the sheet before cold rolling, i.e. on the pretreatment of the hot-rolled sheet.
It has now been found that carbide precipitates present in the structure of the hot-rolled sheet have an influence on the grain orientation that can be achieved. Carbide particles precipitated at the grain boundaries have an unfavorable influence, whereas elongated round carbide particles precipitated within the grain have a favorable influence. It has also been found that the type of carbide precipitation can be controlled by appropriate heat treatment of the hot-rolled sheets. In particular to reach the excretion elongated round carbide particles inside the grain, when holding the hot rolled sheet from 1 to 60 minutes at 790-950 0 C, then at a rate of more than 40 ° C / sec. quenched to 310 to 480 0 C, holds at this temperature for 1 to 20 minutes and finally cools to room temperature. A silicon steel sheet heat-treated in this way has a reduced power loss and increased permeability after the usual process steps serving for grain orientation have been carried out.
SiliziumstahlblechThe invention therefore relates to a method for reducing the power loss and for increasing the permeability of silicon steel sheet with a method for reducing the power loss
and to increase the permeability of
Silicon steel sheet

■■. -The undesired carbide precipitations at the grain boundaries form within a short time at relatively high temperatures. The formation of such precipitates can be prevented if the hot-rolled steel sheet is heated to 840 ° C., kept at this temperature for at least 10 minutes and then quenched at such a rate that no undesired precipitations of carbides occur at the grain boundaries. For example, at a rate of more than 40 ° C / sec. and preferably at a rate of at least 65 ° C / sec., especially 80 ° C / sec. deterred. After this so-called solution heat treatment, there are no visible precipitates. If hot-rolled steel sheet is processed into grain-oriented steel sheet without visible precipitations, the power loss and permeability of this steel sheet are somewhat better than the steel sheet made from hot-rolled steel sheet with visible precipitations ... at the grain boundaries. ■■. -
The desired lenticular precipitates form at relatively low temperatures (below 55O 0 C) in a limited period of time and can be produced by, by heating the solution-annealed steel sheet again to 425 ° C and holding at this temperature for 10 minutes or longer. A hot-rolled steel sheet which is subjected to this precipitation treatment after solution heat treatment and then processed into grain-oriented steel sheet by the known method has better properties than a steel sheet which has been subjected to only solution heat treatment after hot rolling.
The following table shows the results that were obtained from tests with three steels:

It has been found that the solution heat treatment can be carried out by removing the steel from Holds temperatures in the range of 790 to 950 ° C for 1 to 60 minutes. The longer times are at the lower temperatures and vice versa the shorter times required at the higher temperatures.
It has also been found that the precipitation treatment can be performed at temperatures in the range of 310 to 480 ° C and with treatment times of 1 to 120 minutes and even longer can. The times are shorter at the higher temperatures and longer at the lower temperatures Times required.
The solution heat treatment and the precipitation treatment can also be carried out by. the steel is cooled in the corresponding temperature ranges at a correspondingly slow rate. Thus, in an advantageous method of the following invention, the hot-rolled steel sheet to cool the last roll stand of a hot rolling mill with a temperature of about 925 ° C, and preferably leaves of 950 0 C, to a temperature of 790 ° C before it by over-spraying with water is quenched, preferably at a rate of over 65 ° C per second, to a temperature of 425 ° C. The sheet is then rolled up into coils at approximately this temperature and cooled by the temperature range of the precipitation treatment.
DiesesAfter the above-described treatment of the hot-rolled sheet, which has a thickness of 1.9 to 2.3 mm, it is subjected to a further treatment by which it is adjusted to the desired Brought final strength and through which the desired grain orientation is developed. This treatment consists of a first cold deformation to 0.5 to 0.75 mm, to which an annealing treatment at 870 to 940 ° C and preferably in an inert atmosphere with a This is followed by a dew point of no more than -4 ° C. The steel sheet is then put on in the cold state rolled out to a final thickness of preferably either 0.30 or 0.35 mm and annealed again. This
Annealing is carried out at a temperature in the range from 760 to 815 ° C. and either in an inert atmosphere or in a reducing atmosphere, but which in each case preferably contains more than 2% water vapor. The steel sheet is then box-annealed at a temperature of over HOO 0 C in a dry atmosphere, preferably a hydrogen atmosphere. After such a treatment, the steel sheet has a cast texture.
