Der Apparat zur Verhinderung des Krippens oder Krippensetzens der Pferde ist aus Messing gefertigt und besteht erstens aus einer länglich runden, daumbreiten Schiene von Messingblech und zweitens aus einem in der Mitte der Schiene angelötheten, aus drei stählernen Spiralfedern und ebensoviel zugespitzten Messingstiften zusammengesetzten Mechanismns, dessen Obertheil durch eine ausgehöhlte, mit drei Hülsen versehene Messingschiene, welche den drei Stacheln zum Durchgang dient, gebildet ist.The device for preventing the horses from being mangered or set up in the manger is made of brass and consists first of all of an elongated, round, thumb-wide rail made of sheet brass and secondly, one made of three steel spiral springs, soldered in the middle of the rail and just as many pointed brass pins composed of a mechanism, its upper part by a hollowed-out brass rail provided with three sleeves, which attaches to the three spines serves for passage, is formed.

Er ist dadurch praktisch, dafs ein Stirnriemen das Hinabgleiten an dem Halse der Pferde verhindert, und kann auch von Pferden aufser dem Stalle getragen werden.
