Zur Herstellung von Leitungen werden Kunststoffrohre benötigt, deren Enden zu Muffen gestaltet und mit einer Ringnut versehen sind. Bisher war es zur Herstellung von derartigen Muffenenden erforderlich, auf die Kunststoffrohre einen gesonderten Preßteil aufzuschieben, der in seinem Profil dem gewünschten Muffenstück mit der erforderlichen Wandverdickung entspricht. Die Befestigung dieser aufgeschobenen Preßteile an dem Kunststoffrohr erfolgt dabei mit Hilfe eines Klebemittels. Dieses Verfahren ist jedoch umständlich und kostspielig. Gegenstand der Erfindung ist nun eine Vorrichtung, mit deren Hilfe es möglich ist, Kunststoffrohre und ähnliche Kunststoffhohlkörper in einem einzigen Arbeitsgang durch Pressen und Stauchen mit einer mit Ringnut und verdickten Wänden ausgestatteten Muffe zu versehen. Diese Vorrichtung, die einen durch zwei Backen gebildeten, der herzustellenden Muffe im äußeren Querschnitt entsprechenden zylindrischen Hohlkörper aufweist, ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sich in dem zylindrischen Hohlkörper ein ebenfalls zylindrischer Hohlkörper, dessen Mantel durch jeweils gegenüberliegende und gegeneinander bewegbare Segmente gebildet ist, befindet und daß eine Vorrichtung zum Einpressen und Stauchen des Rohrendes in die durch beide Hohlkörper gebildete Form vorgesehen ist. Die Segmente umgeben bei einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform der Erfindung einen beweglichen Dorn, der Aussparungen zur Aufnahme von zwei gegenüberliegenden Segmenten aufweist. In diese Aussparungen werden die beiden gegenüberliegenden Segmente beim Entformen eingezogen. Nach erfolgter Entnahme des Domes mit diesen beiden in den Aussparungen befindlichen Segmenten lassen sich dann auch die beiden einander gegenüberliegenden, noch im äußeren zylindrischen Hohlkörper befindlichen Segmente relativ zueinander bewegen, wodurch eine vollständige Entnahme des Kernes aus der Form bzw. die Entformung des in der Form gebildeten Muffenkörpers ermöglicht wird. Die in die Aussparungen des Domes einziehbaren Segmente sind zweckmäßigerweise an einem im Inneren des Domes angeordneten Zugkeil gleitbar befestigt. Die Vorrichtung weist zur Verformung des Rohrendes eine Form auf, die aus den beiden halbzylindrischen
Backen 1 als Außenwandung und dem Dom 3 und den Segmenten 4, 5,6,7 als Kern besteht.
Die Backen 1 sind mit einer Heiz- und Kühlvorrichtung 2 versehen und können mittels der Zylinder
19 und 20 relativ zueinander bewegt werden, wodurch ein Öffnen und Schließen der Form ermöglicht
wird. Die Vorrichtung weist weiter eine Halterung 23 mit Druckzylinder 21 auf, die das zu verformende
Rohr hält, wenn dieses mit seinem Ende 10 in die Form gepreßt wird. Der Preßdruck wird
mit Hilfe des hydraulischen Zylinders 22 erzeugt.
