Description
Cooled Coaxial Power Cable Connector The invention relates to a connection for a cooled, coaxial power cable, in particular a feed cable for medium or high frequency inductive heating systems.
For the transmission of currents of higher frequencies are often Cooled, coaxial power cables are used, the inner and outer conductors of which are made of stranded conductors exist and their outer conductor lined on the inside with a layer of insulating material is, which surrounds the inner conductor coaxially with radial spacing and as a flow is used for the coolant. The outer conductor becomes coaxial and with a radial distance encompassed by an insulating jacket, which has a further cooling channel with the outer conductor forms.
According to a new proposal, such power cables can thereby Easier and more manageable that with direct cooling of the inner conductor the outer conductor is only cooled indirectly. For this, the outer conductor is through inner and outer pressure means for snug contact with the insulating jacket of the inner conductor brought.
The object of the present invention is to provide an easily detachable connection between a coaxial cable of the latter type and the energy consumer or the energy supply. In particular, the connection in addition to the power transmission also enable the transmission of the cooling medium.
According to the invention this is achieved in that as coupling members Coaxially arranged connecting pipes are used, one end of the inner connecting pipe partly from the inner conductor and partly from the insulating jacket of the coaxial cable is included, while the other end is liquid-tight or gas-tight and detachable, for example screwable, to the inner pole of the consumer or the feed can be connected, and one end of the outer connecting pipe by means of a clamp connection connected to the outer conductor of the coaxial cable and the other end cohesively is connected to the outer pole of the consumer or the feed. With advantage the inner connecting pipe is partially covered coaxially by a pipe section, which with a further one encompassing the inner pole of the consumer or the feed Pipe section and an intermediate sealing element a liquid or compressed gas tight Forms screw connection. On the one hand, a good current silver transition from Inner cable conductor to the inner pole of the feed or the consumer created and a lossless continuation of the cooling medium is guaranteed by the sealing element. It is also advantageous that for the electrical separation of the outer and inner poles the feed or the consumer between the pipe section of the inner pole and the outer connecting pipe an insulating tube is used. Serves as a small connection with advantage a hose clamp. Finally, it is advantageous that the hose clamp insulates is attached to the outer conductor.
Further details and advantages of the invention are based on an exemplary embodiment explained in more detail with reference to the drawing.
The drawing shows a cooled, coaxial power cable, which is easily detachably connected to a consumer, for example an inductor is.
The cable has an inner conductor and an outer conductor 2 arranged coaxially with it. Both conductors consist of flexible copper strands, which advantageously form a braided copper hose. Coaxially to the inner conductor 1 , a tension-resistant, highly thermally conductive insulating jacket 3 is provided with a radial distance from the inner conductor 1 . To increase the crush resistance and flow rate on the inner conductor 1 may within the inner conductor 1 displacement body 4, in the form of spheres od. The like., Can be provided. The inner conductor 1 is cooled directly by a cooling medium, preferably water, which flows through the insulating jacket 3 at a higher pressure (approximately 4 to 5 atmospheres). A shrink tube or a bandage winding 5 is attached concentrically to the outer conductor 2. The outer conductor 2 is brought into full contact with the insulating jacket 3 by means of external and internal pressure media (shrink tubing or bandage winding5, coolant pressure) and is thus cooled directly. Coaxially arranged connecting pipes 6, 7 serve as coupling elements for the cable connection to the energy consumer or the energy supply. Because of the current transmission, the connecting pipes 6.7 C C are conveniently made of copper. One end of the inner connecting tube 6 is partially encompassed by the inner conductor 1. In order to achieve a tensile strength connection, the inner conductor 1 can be provided with a wire winding 8, for example made of copper wire, which is then cohesively connected to the inner conductor 1 , e.g. B. is connected by soft soldering. At the same time, the inner conductor 1 can also be soldered to the connecting tube 6 in a soft manner. The connecting pipe 6 is partly coaxially encompassed by a pipe section 9, preferably made of brass, which is brazed to the connecting pipe 6. One end of the pipe section 9 is provided with an external thread 10 which can be screwed to an internal thread 11 of a further pipe section 12, preferably made of brass, which comprises the inner pole 13 of the consumer. The drawn-out connecting pipe 6 and the pipe sections 9, 12 form a chamber in which a sealing element 14 is pressed in when the pipe sections 9, 12 are screwed together and serves to seal off the cooling medium. The insulating jacket 3 comprises a part of the pipe section 9 and is fastened on this by a cord collar 15. An insulating tube 17, for example a hard tissue tube, is inserted between the outer connecting pipe 7 and the pipe section 12 for the electrical separation of the outer pole 16 and the inner pole 13 of the consumer. The outer conductor 2 is widened somewhat at its end and passed over the outer connecting pipe 7 . By means of a concentric hose clamp 18 with the interposition of an insulating hose 19 , the outer jacket is connected to the connecting pipe 7 in an easily detachable manner. The hose clamp 18 remains tension-free due to the interconnection of the insulating hose 19. At the other end of the connecting tube 7 is soldered a Abflußrolir 20 for the cooling medium, which is connected at 21 by means of a pipe sleeve 22 with the outer pole 16 of the consumer, preferably soldered, and at the same time cools the outer connecting pipe. 7 The insulating tube 19 also comprises a piece of the shrink tube 5, so that the cable is completely insulated up to the clamping point at 18. The thread length of the screw connection 10, 11 is to be dimensioned sufficiently because the medium or high frequency current is conducted over it from the inner conductor of the cable to the inner pole 13 of the consumer.
It is evident that the invention is not restricted to details of the exemplary embodiment. For example, the pipe section 9 can be omitted if the inner connecting pipe 6 is correspondingly profiled and provided with a thread 10 . Instead of the screw connection 10, 11 , the inner conductor 1 could be detachably connected to the inner pole 13 of the consumer or the feed by means of a plug connection.
