Vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Neuerung an Geschwindigkeitsmessern für Wasserfahrzeuge aller Art, durch welche die als Bewegungsmittel dienende Flügelschraube des Logs gegen äufsere Einflüsse, Zerstörungen oder Defectwerden geschützt wird.The present invention relates to an innovation in speedometers for watercraft of all kinds, through which the wing screw of the Logs are protected against external influences, destruction or defects.

Findet gegen Vorbau c durch irgend einen äufseren Einflufs, sei es ein Riff oder schwertreibende Gegenstände, ein Anstofs statt, so wird das Log nicht zerstört, sondern der Vorbau mitsammt dem Logkörper unter Spannung der Federn H1 und H% mit der verschiebbaren Stange f in den Schutzkasten E hineingedruckt und verharrt dort so lange, bis der gefahrbringende Gegenstand vorbeigegangen ist, wonach er durch den Federdruck wieder in seine alte Lage zurückgebracht wird. Die völlige Abdichtung des Gehäuses nach Einführen des Apparates zwecks Aufserbetriebstellung u. s. w. kann durch Anordnung eines Schiebers, welcher mittels Getriebes χ xl sowie der Zahnstange \ bewegt wird, erfolgen.
