Zur Zeit wird wollenes und baumwollenes Strick- und Häkelgarn in abgewogenem Zustande in Form von sogenannten Zöpfen in den Handel gebracht, welche durch Aufwickeln des Garnfadens vom Haspel auf eine mehrseitige Walze, Abwiegen, nachheriges Abnehmen und Zusammendrehen der abgewogenen Garnmengen hergestellt werden.
