The invention relates to fabrics made of plastic threads such as sieves or the like. And especially on paper machine screens, which are composed of a fabric web to form an endless belt or screen are, the individual warp thread piles are distributed over a larger area.
It is known that plastic paper machine screens have greater abrasion resistance than metal screens own. It is the joining of the ends of a web-shaped woven screen into an endless screen by welding the abutting plastic threads not possible because of the strength achieved the joint would be too small. Glued overlapping joints are therefore not appropriate because they result the permeability of the screen is impaired.
To avoid these disadvantages, you have z. B. Circular looms of unusual dimensions for making endless sieves are used, so that connecting joints are not necessary. The required for this However, the effort involved is very great. That is why it has already been suggested that the shocks of each Distribute the warp threads over a larger area so that two thread ends are not directly next to each other lie. In these known designs, however, the warp thread stacks are relatively thick, so that an undesirable thickening of the screen in the connection area cannot be avoided. Do you want to avoid this thickening leading to increased wear is a middle layer of the weft threads between the overlapping warp thread ends required, which can only be achieved with thinner weft threads is. The production of a screen with weft threads of different thicknesses, however, is not economically feasible.
The object of the invention is to provide sieves or the like woven from plastic threads with butt joints high strength in the fabric without a noticeable thickening of the same and without the disadvantages to create the known sieves, but the permeability of the sieve is not or practical is not affected. According to the invention this is achieved in that the warp threads are independent of the weft threads remaining in their original position at their points pointing in the thread direction End faces are connected to each other. The individual thread connections are in a larger one Area widely distributed. This creates a flat joint, with practically no thickening of the warp thread ends of the sieve. Should two of the barely thickened joints be next to each other lie, there is an exit to the sides

In some use cases the warp thread connections can also alternate in pairs without scattering in one each Row should be attached to both ends of the planar joint. Here there is the possibility of that the two rows formed by the connections leave marks, but appear this only as a dotted line at the joint ends.
In the F i g. 1 to 4 of the drawing are excerpts from various embodiments of the invention Paper machine screens shown in plan view, from which various options for Connecting the warp threads to the endless sieve can be seen.
Each screen is woven in a known manner from warp threads A and weft threads B , which are made of plastic. The connection points C are highlighted in the drawing for greater clarity of the representation.
In Fig. 1 shows two rows of diagonally cut and glued warp thread connections C at the top and five rows at the bottom. Between rows 1 and 2 there is a gap of two undisturbed mesh pitches, while it is of different sizes between rows 3 to 7. The row groups 1, 2 and 3, 7 are eleven mesh divisions apart. The number of connection points is unevenly distributed across all rows.
F i g. 2 zeigt ein anderes Beispiel mit vier Reihen 1 bis 4 schräger Kettfadenverbindungen C. Hier liegenF i g. 2 shows another example with four rows 1 to 4 of oblique warp thread connections C. Here lie

Die äußeren Reihen 1 und 4 enthalten gleich viele Verbindungsstellen C, ebenso wie die inneren Reihen 2 und 3.the rows of each row group also two stitches apart, the row groups 1, 2 and 3, 4, on the other hand, are thirteen stitches apart. The outer rows contain 1 and 4 the same number of connection points C, as well as the inner rows 2 and 3.
6 ebenso viele Verbindungsstellen C aufweisen wie die vier inneren Reihen 2 bis 5 zusammen.F i g. 3 shows a six-row connection, the two outer rows 1 and 6 having the same number of connection points C have like the four inner rows 2 to 5 together.
According to FIG. 4 there are only two rows of obliquely cut warp thread connections nineteen mesh pitches apart. The warp thread connections are alternating in pairs attached without scattering in a row 1 or 2 at both ends of the joint.
Dies ist ein weiterer großer Vorteil, der großflächigen Siebverbindung: '■;-:■? 30In all cases, the inventive idea is applied not to lay the connection points of the warp threads in a line, as in the case of welded metal wires, but over a field with at least one undisturbed area. To distribute mesh spacing, wherein 'the field extends over many weft threads. This avoids an accumulation of adhesive points and the permeability of the screen is almost the same everywhere. Due to the long overlap of the warp threads in the wide butt joint, the: adhesive points of the warp threads are also largely relieved of tensile forces, since the entire fabric or braid of the mesh field carries along with it. This is another great advantage of the large screen connection: '■; -: ■? 30th
Also by the fact that during the production of the screen connector the weft threads in this zone are neither replaced by new ones nor temporarily removed, the warp threads are inevitably exactly in the crank arcs of the weft threads, whereby neither the mesh structure nor the screen surface on ■■ _ the connection point of the screen can be changed.
Der Überzug kann bei nor- :In order to increase the durability of the sieve, the entire sieve is made after the warp threads have been glued coated with a plastic solution, in particular a polyurethane compound.
