Die Erfindung betrifft einen Apparat zum Entwickeln, Fixiren und Waschen photographischer Bildbänder, bei dem das Bildband auf eine Trommel aufgewickelt ist und auf dieser nach einander den verschiedenen Flüssigkeiten ausgesetzt wird. Ein solcher Apparat ist durch die amerikanische Patentschrift 616999 bereits bekannt geworden. Das Bildband ist bei diesem Apparat einmal um eine verhältnifsmäfsig grofse Trommel gewickelt. Ist das belichtete Band länger als der Trommelumfang, so mufs es abgeschnitten und in Theilen entwickelt werden. Die Gröfse der Trommel bringt es ferner mit sich, dafs nicht die ganze Trommel dauernd in die Flüssigkeiten eingetaucht werden kann, sondern nur der untere Theil. Man mufs daher, um alle Theile des Bildbandes zu entwickeln, die Trommel dauernd drehen, wodurch bei ungleichmäfsigem Drehen leicht Ungleichmäfsigkeiten in der Entwickelung entstehen. Eine bessere Ausnutzung des Raumes in beiden Beziehungen bietet die Anordnung, bei der das Bildband in einer Schraubenlinie auf dem Umfang eines längeren Cylinders aufgewickelt wird (vergl. z.B. amerikanische Patentschrift 609677).
