Description
B. kristallinen, Stoffe abscheiden.Process for producing a diesel fuel The claimed process for producing a diesel fuel from low-aromatic dewaxed mineral oil mixtures with the addition of agents to increase the cetane number is characterized in that cycloaliphatic mononuclear hydrocarbons are added to a dewaxed mineral oil fraction from the boiling range 180 to 280 ° C up to about the same weight. A diesel fuel produced in this way is characterized by excellent resistance to cold. At -60 ° C or below it is still thin enough to be pumped properly, especially since no solid, e.g. B. precipitate crystalline substances.
Seine Cetanzahl beträgt 49.For example, the procedure for the preparation of such diesel fuels as follows: The boiling at 180 to 280 'C fraction of a crude oil or a hydrogenated oil proportion, z. B. a clay distillation or a cracking residue or a tar hydrogenation product is dewaxed in a known manner with urea or by a solvent process, with a cycloaliphatic mononuclear hydrocarbon, e.g. B. Di-isopropyleyelohexane or n-butylcyclohexane in an amount of 10 to 1001 / o and finally mixed with amyl nitrate to increase the cetane number. The starting oil may have to be catalytically hydrogenated. The shelf life can be improved by adding antioxidants. Example 1 A fraction of a Saharan oil boiling between 180 and 280 ° C. is dewaxed with urea. An oil with a pour point of -58 'is obtained. This is mixed with 30 percent by volume diisopropylcyclohexane. The mixture obtained has a pour point of -69 ° C. After adding 0.8 percent by volume of amyl nitrate, the fuel obtained does not show any solid precipitates after storage at -651 ° C. for two months. Its cetane number is 49.
EXAMPLE 2 A fraction boiling from 180 to 280 ° C. from a petroleum crack residue which has been subjected to catalytic pressure hydrogenation is dewaxed with urea and methylene chloride. It then shows a pour point of -641 C and a cetane number of 42.0. 20 percent by volume of n-butylcyclohexane and 0.5 % amyl nitrate are added. The diesel fuel has a pour point of -720 C and a cetane number of 50.
Like the diesel fuel obtained according to Example 1 , it can easily be pumped and stored even at low temperatures.
