Description
The present invention relates to a timepiece with a date display and indexing means and locking means for the same. In known watches of this type, the date display ring is provided with a toothing into which a spring-loaded locking element engages, on the one hand to hold the date display ring in a certain rotational position between the individual daily increments and on the other hand also during the incrementation, C by snapping it into a gap to allow the date display to jump into the new position and to hold it there. For this purpose, the known locking elements must be kept in engagement with the toothing under fairly high force, and rather steep flanks must be provided on the toothing and the locking element to ensure that the date indicator ring snaps into place in every position of rest of the date indicator ring. Correspondingly, relatively high forces are required to advance the date display ring, because considerable forces have to be expended in order to disengage the locking member in the circumferential direction of the date display ring. This disadvantage can be accepted in larger movements with a spring. DaoeLen it has been found that with smaller movements and in particular with electric drive movements with agitation no longer 2enü £ iende forces for 2 Verfüa ng u, are provided to actuate the #ekinnten Datumanzeiaemittel.
It is the aim of the present invention to provide a watch with a date display in which very little forces are required to operate the date display means without the reliability of the indexing and the clarity of the display being impaired. The erlindungsgern ', Isse watch is characterized in that a locking means is provided as with the cylindrical part of its Unifvr, -s backlash and reibu # igsfrei blocking in the Verzahnun- of Datumanzeiaerinaes einzreifendes zr C5 C with a ratchet wheel Ausnehmuno, provided on the circumference and in that the indexing means acting on the same toothing and the ratchet wheel are driven step-by-step at the same angular speed, the indexing speed and the unifangspeed of the ratchet wheel being adjusted in such a way that the date display is advanced by one tooth division while the mentioned recess of the ratchet wheel runs through the date display and unlocking Stel-Jun-en for a full switching step. The security of the date indicator in its display positions is therefore carried out by a ratchet wheel, which normally prevents any rotation of the date ring. which, however in certain positions C Date a stepping of the ring without & el each power transmission between the date display ring and allows the ratchet wheel, and therefore relatively small forces to Fortschaltuno suffice.
It is a particular object of the present invention to be particular To avoid braking organs and an absolute security against. unwanted rotating movements to achieve the indexing and locking mechanism. This will be given in accordance with the present Invention achieved in that the aforementioned ratchet wheel itself between individual Advancing movements are locked against rotation. The blocking is preferably carried out also by a rigid locking body, which is connected to the drive element for the Ratchet wheel is connected to stepped driving stepper wheel.
In the drawing is an embodiment of the invention Clock shown.
Die Kurbelnabe weist eine zylindrische Fläche 51 mit einer Ausnehmung oder Schaltlücke 52 auf.F i g. 1 shows the indexing mechanism for the date display ring immediately before the indexing; F io ,. 2 times the same mechanism immediately after switching; F i g. 3 is a section along line 11-11 in FIG. 1; F i 4 is a section from F i 1 on a larger scale, with the ratchet wheel in a different position; and F i g. 5 is a section along line VV in FIG. 1. In the F i 1 and 2, the minute wheel 1 is dar-estellt which minutes from the shaft by a pinion 2 in a gear ratio of 3: 1 is driven so that the minute wheel 1 makes one revolution in three hours. The pinion 3 of the change wheel 1 drives the hour wheel 4. A crank 5 with a driver pin 6 is connected to the change wheel 1. The crank hub has a cylindrical surface 51 with a recess or switching gap 52 .
A gear wheel 9 with special teeth consisting of twenty-four relatively long teeth 10 is rotatably mounted on a special bridge 8, which is connected to the work plate 7 in a manner not shown. Every third tooth 11 of the gear or indexing wheel 9 is shortened, so that a gap is created in which the cylindrical locking surface 51 of the crank hub can engage with little play and without friction on the flanks of two shortened tooth 11 of adjacent teeth 10 . Any unintentional rotation of the wheel 9 is thus blocked. A ratchet wheel 12 is non-rotatably connected to the gear wheel 9 , which is cylindrical on the largest part of its circumference, but has a recess 13 at one point. The gear wheel 9 drives, via an intermediate gear 14, an indexing wheel 15, which also has twenty-four teeth and is therefore always driven at the same angular speed as the gear wheel 9 and the locking wheel 12. The gear wheel 15 is a resilient Fort lever connected non-rotatably 16, the free end has a continuation surface 17 on the end face and an inclined plane 18 on the outside. The gears 14 and 15 and the indexing lever 16 are rotatably mounted on the bridge 8 in a manner known per se with the least possible friction. The diameter and toothing of the wheels 9 and 14 are so dimensioned that these wheels always remain in constant mesh despite the shortened teeth of the wheel 9.
The date display ring 19 is internally provided with trapezoidal teeth, with adjacent head edges 20 of adjacent teeth 21 of the date display ring with respect to the ratchet wheel 12 so that the cylindrical surface of the ratchet wheel 12 is practically without play and without friction on these two adjacent edges 20, so that through the ratchet wheel is blocked from any unintentional rotation of the date display ring 19 , but the ratchet wheel 12 can be rotated without friction between the edges.
A spring 27 is inserted into an elongated opening 26 of the bridge 8 , one end of which engages behind a tooth 21 of the date ring 19 and secures the same against turning back from the display position reached.
The pin 6 of the crank 5 has just hit a tooth 10 of the wheel 9 and begins to rotate the wheel 9 in a clockwise direction with further rotation of the crank 5 in the counterclockwise direction , which is no longer prevented by the locking surface 51 because the detected tooth of the wheel 9 can enter the stepping gap 52 . The next full tooth of the wheel 9 can also pass through the gap 52 during the switching. The rotation of the wheel 9 is transmitted on the one hand to the ratchet wheel 12 and in the same transmission ratio to the gear wheel 15 or the indexing lever 16 . From the drawing it is readily apparent that the effective lever arm of the indexing lever 16 is considerably larger, namely approximately twice as large as the diameter of the ratchet wheel 12. The indexing lever 16, which is already resting with its end face 17 on a tooth flank of the date display ring 19 , therefore rotates the date ring 19 clockwise at the beginning of the mentioned rotation at a speed that is about twice as large as the peripheral speed of the ratchet wheel 12. The left in F i 1 Tooth 21 of the date display ring 19 lying above the recess C 13 of the ratchet wheel 12 will thus fully enter the recess 13 before the cylindrical circumferential surface of the ratchet wheel 12 reaches the area of this tooth again, so that the progression by the ratchet wheel C L is not hindered will. The tooth just mentioned will lead or wander through the recess 13 during the progression, all parts being dimensioned so that this tooth can never strike the surface of the ratchet wheel 12 during the entire progression movement. At the end of the advance movement, i. H. when the pin 6 according to FIG. 2 leaves the toothing of the wheel 9 , the recess 13 has the one shown in FIG . 2 reached position, d. H. it is compared to the situation according to FIG. 1 offset by 45 'or 1/8 of a turn and has reached a position in which the mentioned tooth of the date display ring can freely emerge from the recess. The indexing lever 16 has according to FIG. 2 at the end of the indexing movement reaches a position in which its end face 17 has just left the flank of the tooth 21 detected during the indexing and the top edge 20 of this tooth is now resting on the inclined plane 18 of the indexing lever 16. Both the indexing lever 16 and the spring 27 prevent the date display ring from rotating back in this position of the parts. Forward rotation of the same is prevented at the same time by the cylindrical C, JD surface of the ratchet wheel. If the pin 6 grips after a further rotation of the change wheel 1, i. H. after three hours, again into the toothing of the wheel 9 , the wheels 9 and 15 are again rotated 45 'clockwise. Here, the inclined plane 18 of the indexing lever 16 slides over the head edge 20 of the overlying tooth 21 (FIG . 2), the indexing lever being bent somewhat elastically inward to avoid the tooth 21 of the non-rotating date display ring. During this wide advance movement, the cylindrical surface of the ratchet wheel 12 is swiveled completely into the tooth gap between adjacent teeth of the date display ring (position according to FIG. 4), so that any unwanted rotation of this ring is now prevented by the ratchet wheel.
Like F i g. 4 can be seen particularly clearly, the toothing of the wheel 9 or the path of movement of the pin 6 is dimensioned so that the wheel 9 is advanced by exactly three tooth pitches with each incremental movement. Since the wheel 9 has twenty-four teeth, it is turned after every eight partial rotations, i. H. made a full turn after twenty-four hours. At the end of every seventh partial rotation of the ratchet wheel 12, the recess 13 moves into the position shown in FIG. 1 position shown, in which the date display ring is already unlocked and could basically be moved in the direction of advance. However, should such a movement take place, it would be caused by the in FIG. 1 part of the recess 13 located on the right is limited, so that the next partial rotation of the wheels 9 and 15 would terminate the advance without the synchronism of the date display being disturbed.
The synchronism can just as little be disturbed by the fact that an undesired additional rotation of the indexing wheel 9 could take place between the individual indexing movements or during an indexing movement. Between the indexing times, the cylindrical surface 51 prevents any rotation of the wheel 9. If the indexing gap 52 occurs according to FIG . 1 and 4 into the toothing of the wheel 9 , any rotation that could disturb the synchronism is still excluded until the pin 6 enters the toothing. The same conditions also apply when the pin 6 emerges from the toothed shaft, the wheel 9.
As already mentioned, the particular advantage of the arrangement shown and described is that very little 'ge forces are required for switching, because practically only frictional forces have to be overcome during the switching itself.
In order to keep the frictional resistance during the rotation of the date ring 19 itself as low as possible, a flange 22 of the date ring that rims downwards and inwards is provided according to FIG . 5 mounted on a narrow shoulder 23 of the work plate 7 and secured against axial displacement by means of screws 24. To attach the screws 24, the date display ring 19 has a recess 25 at at least one point.
