Ultrasonic treatment device for long or large objects
The invention relates to an ultrasonic treatment device for long or large areas
Objects, e.g. B. Pipes, rods, sheets, etc.
in vertikaler Lage durchzuführen.
The problem often arises in industry, for a long time or over a large area
To clean objects such as pipes, rods, sheets, etc. with ultrasound. There for it
In some cases liquids are used, it is therefore advisable to use ultrasonic cleaning
to be carried out in a vertical position. You can then proceed, for example, that
you have numerous tubes or rods in the rake next to each other or possibly also in
arrange two layers and immerse the rake filled in this way
or removal from the cleaning liquid bypasses the ultrasonic emitter.
In the case of pipes, internal cleaning occurs at the same time as the ultrasonic vibration
largely penetrates the pipe wall and thus also takes effect on the inside.
The vertical retraction and extension of the pipes ensures excellent flushing.
You will proceed in a similar way with sheet metal, but with the length
the transducer rows must correspond to the width of the entire sheet.
Such an arrangement is not optimal because every surface element
the items to be washed are only irradiated for as long as they are in the immediate vicinity when they are immersed and removed
Near the Schwinger line. Are with heavy pollution or high requirements
Longer irradiation times are required due to the degree of purity, so these result
a very slow retraction and extension and thus a low throughput of the cleaning device.
If cleaning is also to be carried out from both sides, they interfere with each other
opposite rows of transducers and result in uncontrollable interference.
The device according to the invention avoids these inconveniences in an ultrasonic treatment device for long or large objects such. B. tubes, rods, sheets, etc., through an elongated, upright, conical vessel 1, at the upper end of which the ultrasonic generators 3 are arranged so that their downward radiation forms an acute angle with the perpendicular 6 and the conical bevel of the vessel is dimensioned so that the downwardly directed ultrasonic radiation maintains the same intensity despite increasing distance from the generator through this acoustic transformer. On the one hand, this eliminates the mutual disturbance of the transducer rows mentioned, on the other hand, the ultrasonic energy, corresponding to the inclined downward irradiation, migrates down the vessel walls, reflecting back and forth several times and, since there are no upward reflective surfaces, it can only return with difficulty or not at all get up. As a result, the radiation density does not decrease towards the bottom, but even increases if the attenuation is not too great, and the laundry is therefore not only treated intensively with ultrasound during the short time it passes the transducer rows, but during the entire time it is in the vessel. The immersion time can be shortened considerably and the throughput can be increased accordingly.
The figure shows a vertical section through the device for the ultrasonic treatment of long or large-area objects. 1 with the downwardly tapering cleaning vessel is referred to, the upper edge of which is bulged outwards at 2 to accommodate the ultrasonic emitter 3. These are arranged so that the radiation beam 4 at the opposite walls at an angle downward and in a reflective manner, penetrate as deeply as possible to the tip 5 . The reflections are repeated until the angle of incidence reaches 901. Only then does a reversal of the direction of radiation occur, and the radiation that has not been absorbed up to that point returns upwards in the same or a similar way with a simultaneous increase in the cross-section of the vessel. While the natural attenuation of the radiation with increasing distance from the radiator is compensated for or even overcompensated for by the tapering cross-section on the outward path, and thus a downward radiation concentration occurs, on the return, the weakening and cross-sectional expansion both act in the sense of a decreasing concentration, so that hardly a noticeable one Energy share returns. The energy distribution in such a vessel can thus be designed as desired by appropriate selection of the acute angle. For example, 6 denotes pipes in the figure which, depending on the longitudinal dimensions of the vessel, can be inserted in one or two layers arranged next to one another. Instead, for example, one or two sheets # can be moved in and out while hanging next to each other.
It is of great importance that the reflections themselves as little as possible
Consume energy. This can be achieved relatively easily in that
the vessel wall is made of thin material that is as absorption-free as possible (steel or
Aluminum sheet) and hung or set up on all sides adjacent to the air
will. If, as is usually the case, additional thermal insulation is required, then it may
these do not consist of the usual asbestos paint, but rather a porous,
heat-insulating foam is to be placed dry on the walls of the vessel and
to be attached in a suitable manner.
Should be an acid, a base or other as the treatment liquid
If aggressive liquids are used, it may be advisable to use the ultrasonic transducer
do not sink into a bulge within the vessel as shown in the figure, but rather
to provide the vessel itself at its upper end with corresponding inclined surfaces
and glue, solder or flange the transducers on from the outside. This arrangement
has the advantage of not only protecting the transducer from attack by the aggressive liquid
to protect, but also to enable easier cleaning and moreover
further reduce the acoustic attenuation of the entire arrangement.
