In Fig. ι stellt c das Steigrad, α das Minutenrad einer Uhr mit Secundenpendel dar, von welchem das erstere 30, das letztere 60 Zähne hat. Auf der Welle des Steigrades sitzt die Schnecke b, welche in die Zähne des Minutenrades eingreift, so dafs bei einer Umdrehung des Steigrades das Minutenrad um einen Zahn weiter gerückt ist. Der Vortheil dieser Einrichtung ist, dafs das Rad, welches bisher zwischen Minutenrad und Steigrad war, fortfällt.In Fig. Ι c represents the steering wheel, α the minute wheel of a clock with a second pendulum, of which the former has 30, the latter 60 teeth.
