B. Schallplattenmatrizen.Device for the production of uniform galvanic layers
on circular flat surfaces The invention relates to a device for achieving
of galvanic layers of uniform thickness on disk-shaped
Workpieces such. B. Record matrices.
Are metal layers on circular flat surfaces or cylinders
galvanically deposited, the metal deposit is due to the uneven
Streamline distribution increasing towards the edge. For record matrices must
however, the metal deposit to a small tolerance from the center of the die
be of uniform thickness up to the edge so that the pressed with the dies
Records get the required dimensions. To the streamlines between anode
and to balance the die as cathode and thus an approximately uniform one
To achieve precipitation thickness, conical anodes are used.
As a result, the anode - cathode distance in the middle of the die is small and becomes
towards the edge of the die, it becomes larger and larger, so that less metal is deposited there
will. If you use normal flat anodes, you can achieve a certain degree of success with anti-glare rings
while the extremely high marginal current densities are masked at the anode.
It has also already been suggested to insert the rotating die halfway at an angle into the
Immerse yourself in the bath. There is a completely even streamline distribution
but not to be achieved even with this, apart from the double exposure time
due to the only half-immersing die. However, all of these measures can
high demands on the uniformity of the layer thicknesses on the matrices
record production and corresponding similar galvanic processes
no longer enough.
(Kegelform, konvexe Form) entfallen somit.
It has now been found that the evenness of the precipitation
Increase on the die up to a few m # t difference between the center and the edge zone
leaves, if between the die and a normal flat anode a rotating screen
a special shape is arranged. With this aperture the cathode surface becomes
covered in the same ratio as the cathode current density to the edge of the die
increases towards. This means that at an assumed point on the die, at which normally
twice as much metal is deposited as in the middle, the anode to 50%
must be covered so that only half of the exposure time is effective.
If the precipitation were to increase linearly towards the edge of the die, the aperture would get
the shape of a sector of a circle. However, since the layer thickness increases a geometric
Function is subject, there is a curve shape for the diaphragm. Everyone is general
Form of the diaphragm possible, which fulfills the geometrical function mentioned. Advantageously
normal flat anodes can be used, and the special shapes of the anodes
(Cone shape, convex shape) are thus omitted. As a further development of the invention
the rotating diaphragm can be provided with blades or guide plates so that
an intensive movement of the electrolyte between the anode and cathode is caused.
This allows the previously necessary cathode rotation with the necessary
Complicated and failure-prone power transmission elements and bearings are dispensed with
will. The invention is explained in more detail with reference to drawings.

Opposite the die 2 is the flat anode 3, through the center of which the axis 4 of the rotating diaphragm 5 is guided. The diaphragm 5 is located a short distance in front of the die 2 in order to largely prevent the streamlines from scattering around the diaphragm 5. In Fig. 2 shows a curve shape of the diaphragm 5 resulting from the geometric function of the streamline distribution. On the axis 4 blades 6 are attached, to which in turn the cover 5 is attached. The inner edge 7 of the diaphragm 5 results from the geometric function of the streamline distribution, while the outer edge 8 of the diaphragm 5 forms part of the circle around the axis 4 .
