PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
— M 119230 KLASSE 29 b. - M 119 230 CLASS 29 b.
It is well known that not only solutions of copper hydroxide into ammonia cellulose can dissolve, but DAF also solutions of certain other copper salts in ammonia are capable cellulose to solve (see Fig. 1/4 years writing the nature-searching society in Zurich, 1857, Volume 2, Page 396 uf; Ed. Schweizer, same magazine 1859, 4th year). Strangely enough, however, until now only solutions of cellulose in copper oxide ammonia have been processed into artificial, fine, silk-like threads.
The surprising discovery has now been made that the solutions of cellulose in ammoniacal solutions of certain other copper salts are also quite well spinnable, insofar as the solid cellulose content of the cellulose solutions is only sufficiently great. At the solutions of copper carbonate in the cold, saturated in the cold, are best in about 16 to 18 percent aqueous ammonia liquid for dissolving cellulose, as these contain more copper carbonate than those with higher temperature are produced.
The dissolution of the cellulose also takes place expediently in the cold, since it occurs more rapidly is going; In addition, it is advantageous to keep the finished solution up to the moment of
Keep the spinning at a low temperature, as this effectively results in any detrimental effects on the spinnability of the solutions and the strength of the finished threads Decomposition of the dissolved cellulose is avoided.
The solutions thus prepared have the advantage that they can be used more without damage May contain copper, as appropriate to the molecular proportions, such as such must be paused when using copper hydroxide. There is another major advantage of these solutions in that these are much less susceptible to spoilage than cellulose solutions in copper oxide ammonia, by salts, such as. B. copper carbonate, have no oxidizing effect. So it will be even if kept for a long time neither ammonia oxidizes to nitrous acid, nor cellulose to oxycellulose. Ordinary degreased and bleached cotton can be used as the cellulose material will; however, it is advantageous for the attainment of solutions of still greater things Cellulose content Cellulose to be used, which beforehand by known methods of a Aufschliefsung has been subjected.
Die Verarbeitung der Lösungen zu Fäden geschieht in bekannter Weise durch Austreten-The processing of the solutions into threads is done in a known manner by exiting
B. mit Tannin und Brechweinstein.let the solution through capillary mouthpieces in dilute acid and winding up his Solvent stripped cellulose thread on bobbins. The finished threads behave like pure cellulose. Noun dyes stain the threads directly, basic dyes only if they are the threads were previously stained, e.g. B. with tannin and emetic tartar.
