Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
Baggerrad, bewirkt. The pressure excavator object of the present invention is intended to do the same Work like the suction excavators. Like this one, he lifts the dredged masses in a closed one Tube over water and transports them in the same way as the suction dredgers in the same tube. But it differs from suction dredgers in that these in addition to various types of devices for gripping and releasing those to be dredged Substances still have a special device for lifting and transporting the dissolved substances have, while the pressure excavator described and illustrated below has the Gripping, loosening, lifting and transporting the masses to be dredged in the. closed Tube caused by a single device, the so-called excavator wheel.
This pressure excavator allows easier control of the flow of water to the loosened solid dredging materials. To find the relation between water and solid matter and to maintain which is the most favorable for the promotion in each particular case, serves the manometer shown in Fig. 11, which is at any point on the delivery pipe can be used as the simplest control device.
·This control device consists of a graduated glass tube closed at the top (Fig. 11), which is in communication at its lower end with the conveying pipe and with air is filled. If the dredging is to begin, only water is extracted at first, observed on the glass tube the point up to which the water enters the tube by it compresses the air. If the weight of the The water column in the delivery pipe grows, then the air in the glass tube must also be compressed more, so get smaller. You have the right ratio between water and solid If substances are constantly reached, the water level can be observed again on the glass tubes and is able to · then regulate the access of water to the excavator wheel. ·
In the accompanying drawings, the most essential part peculiar to the pressure excavator, namely the excavator wheel α, is shown, for example, in two different designs, namely in FIGS. 1 to 7 'in the form of a turbine wheel and in FIGS Propellers. This dredger wheel is driven from the dredger by a shaft c (Fig. 3), in the turbine wheel shape with the opposite direction of rotation of the turbine.
Fig. 4 zeigt dieses Rohr in zusammengeschobenem Zustande.8, 9 and 10 show the excavator wheel in an upright position, it being driven by the aforementioned shaft c, through the intermediary of a pair of bevel gears and the horizontal shaft b. The excavator wheel α sits at the mouth of the conveying pipe d leading over water, which in the form chosen as an example is designed as a telescopic pipe for the purpose of dredging at various depths. Fig. 4 shows this tube in the collapsed state.
To achieve greater efficiency without making the excavator parts unwieldy Dimensions, can be used in pump
baggern bereits bekannter Weise mehrere Baggerräder" mit Zubehör neben einander angewendet werden, wie Fig. ι zeigt.excavate already known way several excavator wheels "with accessories applied next to each other as Fig. ι shows.
In FIGS. 6 and 7, an embodiment is shown in which the drive shaft c only emerges from the delivery pipe d via water. There is no need for an underwater stuffing box. The whole pressure excavator can be rotated in this embodiment, for cleaning and repair purposes at 90 0 in the situation according to Fig. 7.
Fig. 2 shows an embodiment of the excavator in an inclined position, as is necessary for attaching a support bearing for the shaft c.
The cutting edges of the excavator wheel are appropriate for loosening the excavator mass trained or armored.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 8 to 10, the mouth of the tube d is given a square shape with cutting edges in order to bring about the lifting of the ground in an approximately flat surface.
Der Arbeitsvorgang ist folgender:The process is as follows:
Fig. 3 und 4). First you let the excavator wheel only draw water, ie work like a centrifugal pump. When the water column now rising in the delivery pipe d has the necessary speed to be able to take solid masses with it, the excavator wheel is allowed to attack the ground to be excavated on one side, while the other side continues to scoop water (cf. Figs. 3 and 4) . If it turns out that too much water is being pumped, the water-scooping side of the dredger wheel is partially covered in a known manner by a slide, a gate w or the like (Fig. 3 to 6) by means of a pull rod χ from the dredger . The final mixing ratio is then kept the same with the aid of the above-mentioned manometer (Fig. 11) and the contactor n>. While observing this pressure gauge, the excavator vehicle is also advancing.
At. In the design of the dredger organ as a propeller, the necessary quantity of water can be supplied either by letting the mouth of the delivery pipe d only partially hit the bottom of the dredger (Fig. 8), so that the propeller at the top only scoops water, or else by letting it hit the bottom of the dredger (Fig. 8) The mouth of the delivery pipe is completely opposite the excavator mass and allows the water to enter through a pipe e (Fig. 10).
The remaining lower corner gussets can still be loosened through a pipe f with pressurized water from below.
