Description
Method for data transmission The invention relates to a method for data transmission, in which the information is transmitted in individual blocks, their start by synchronizing signals arriving at the receiving location before the start of the block is marked.
The type of data transmission that is common today, in the meantime Test characters are transmitted, on the basis of which determined on the receiving side can be whether the transmitted data by occurring on the transmission path Faults have been incorrectly transmitted, requires a breakdown of the information into individual blocks, at the end of which test characters are transmitted. That means however, the need to start one on the receiving side continues recognize new information block. So-called synchronization signals are usually used for this purpose that must arrive at the receiving location before the start of the block and there trigger a start signal for the start of information recognition. Theoretically For this purpose, the synchronization signal could consist of a single character let persist; in practice, however, this is not possible because the probability that such a single character is due to some unintentional disturbance on the transmission path could be reproduced is too large to provide adequate security Information transfer or when recognizing the beginning of the information block guarantee. For this reason, the synchronization signals are always made up today a larger number of individual characters, all of which are recognized at the receiving end must to trigger a start signal for the beginning of the information recognition.
However, this means that for each information block one more or less large number of characters have to be transmitted that do not actually have to be Possess information content and therefore for the speed of the actual data transmission contribute nothing. This disadvantage is particularly significant when the individual information blocks are relatively short, d. H. from a relatively small one Number of information characters exist, since then the percentage of synchronization characters in relation to the total number of characters transmitted at all becomes inadmissibly large.
The object of the invention was therefore to provide a method for data transmission to develop, on the one hand, a sufficient security of the synchronization characters offers against accidental replication on the transmission path, but on the other hand with a relatively small number of synchronization characters and still a sufficient number Provides security for the recognition of the beginning of each block.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that information and synchronization characters, at least in part, by being represented in different ways Modulation types and / or by means of optionally different additive mixing stand out from each other and / or in themselves.
In the context of this different representation of the individual characters There are now a number of options for dividing the individual characters. Perhaps the most important possibility for such a division is likely to be that one has the information characters on the one hand and the synchronization characters on the other in different representation either by choosing different types of modulation or by means of different additive mixing. But it can also also be of importance within the information block, for example between the actual message characters and for error correction with transmitted test characters, distinguish between these two types of characters by the way they are represented separates from each other. Even within the synchronization signal, the inventive Way between individual characters that belong, for example, to different groups, can be distinguished by the choice of character representation.
In the execution of the method according to the invention, the representation has become at least a part of the characters by one generated by means of channel interruptions Amplitude modulation proved particularly advantageous. The channel breaks themselves can easily be simulated by being on the transmitting side a switch via which the information reaches the transmission channel opens or closes a specific program. Another method of differentiation between each character consists in being at least some of these characters can be switched on and off at the transmitting end by means of a Generator created additive mixing.
In any case, when using the method according to the invention, if you know the main interference structures of the transmission channel, easily in hand, for the representation of the synchronization marks and theirs Sequence to choose a display type and a broadcast program that lead to configurations lead whose probability of occurrence alone without conscious generation disturbances occurring on the transmission path are practically negligible. on In this way, a fault in the transmission process can be caused by false detection exclude a synchronization signal.
