Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung bildet eine Vorrichtung, welche es ermöglicht, in die Tapetenkanten zwecks Bildung von Abreifsstreifen Rillen einzuschneiden. Die Papierbahn wird zwecks Erreichung des angestrebten Zieles vor dem Bedrucken mit jedem Rand zwischen zwei Schneidscheiben hindurchgeführt. Da die Abreifskante jedoch bei der Beförderung leicht beschädigt werden könnte, so ist an der Maschine eine Vorkehrung getroffen, welche ermöglicht, die Bildung der Rille auf eine gewisse Zeit zu unterbrechen. Bei der Fertigstellung der Tapetenrolle liegt dieser ungerillte Theil gerade auf dem äufseren Umfang, so dafs eine äufsere Schutzkante entsteht, welche die übrige Abreifskante bedeckt. Da diese Schutzkante nur wenige Centimeter beträgt, so wird dieselbe bei Verwendung der Tapete einfach von Hand abgeschnitten.
