Description
Rotary hammer with central water flush The invention relates to on a hammer drill with central flushing water, in which the flushing water line runs approximately in the area of the hammer axis and through a hole in the percussion piston is guided in a longitudinally displaceable irrigation tube, the front end with a pressure rests on the rear end of the boring bar.
In a known hammer drill of this type, there is a flushing water line inside the hammer drill from a single continuous flushing tube, its rear end provided with a flange slidable in a flushing water supply chamber is mounted and its front conical end in a corresponding conically enlarged bore in the rear end of the tool or the boring bar sits. The rear surface of the flange can be at the rear end of the irrigation tube be acted upon by the pressure of the rinse water, the pressure exerted being the Force of a spring counteracts that between the flange and a front contact surface is provided in the rinsing water supply chamber. This training of the flushing water line of the known hammer drill are associated with significant disadvantages. On the one hand, it is proportionate large mass of the one-piece continuous irrigation tube disturbing and complicates the Maintaining a tight fit of the front end of the same to the rear End of the boring bar or tool. On the other hand, it is one-piece, continuous relatively long irrigation tubes that are held under pressure in the longitudinal direction must, exposed to a considerable risk of kinking. To reduce the risk of kinking, a long flushing tube of the known type must either itself be correspondingly strong be dimensioned or; through holes or the like in other parts of the hammer drill be guided in such a way that the buckling length is sufficiently reduced. The purpose of the invention is to avoid the disadvantages of the known hammer drill, and exists in a hammer drill of the type mentioned in the fact that .. the rinsing water line from several telescopic there is mutually displaceable and sealed sections, the rear part forming. Water supply pipe attached to the hammer housing is and protrudes into the rinsing tube forming the front section, on the one forward, the pressure-generating force acts. Here is only that relatively short irrigation tubes held in the longitudinal direction under pressure, so that the risk of buckling is low. Due to the sealed connection between the telescopic mutually displaceable sections of the flushing water line, the water supply pipe and the rinsing tube, is a reliable and loss-free guide of the rinse water and an undesired mixing of the rinse water avoided with the compressed air.
To achieve that the irrigation tube with its front end constantly rests on the upper end of the drill rod, according to a further step of the invention still proposed that the irrigation tube has an annular surface at its rear end has, on which the compressed air acting on the hammer piston acts in a pulsed manner, so that the irrigation tube performs the same "movements" as the drill rod it is useful if the front end of the irrigation tube is preferably conical is tapered 'and in a correspondingly conically shaped recess in the extends into the upper end of the boring bar. In a further embodiment of the invention is It is advantageous if the irrigation tube has an in has the bore of the drill rod reaching into the cylindrical extension, whose End is preferably formed like a lip seal.
According to a further step of the invention, it is also proposed that that the bore of the irrigation tube in the region of its front end is preferably one has gradually reduced clear diameter. This creates in the Bore of the flushing tube an annular surface acted upon by the water pressure, whereby the pressure of the irrigation tube on the drill rod can be increased. In particular it is advantageous if, according to the invention, the lower end of the irrigation tube is considered solid is formed with this connected insert piece, which is made of metal, preferably but can consist of a non-metallic, elastic material. Here can the bore of this insert piece have a smaller diameter than that Drilling of the irrigation tube so that at the upper end of the insert the second, the annular surface acted upon by the water pressure is formed. In some cases it can be useful if a spring is also provided at a suitable point in the hammer drill through which the irrigation tube is pressed against the upper end of the drill rod.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention partly shown in section.
The percussion piston moves in the hammer cylinder 1 in a known manner 2, which is provided with a central bore 3. In this bore 3 is a flushing tube 4 arranged displaceably, into which a water supply pipe 5 extends, which is attached to the cover 6 of the hammer cylinder. Between the water supply pipe 5 and the rinsing tube 4 is a seal approximately at the upper end of the rinsing tube 7 provided. An annular surface F1 is formed at the upper end of the irrigation tube, which is also acted upon by the compressed air acting on the percussion piston 2 is. At the lower end of the rinsing tube 4 there is an insert 8, which is firmly connected to the irrigation tube. The insert 8 has a bore 9 whose diameter is smaller than the inner diameter of the flushing tube 4, so that at the upper end of the insert 8, an annular surface F arises, which from Rinsing water is applied.
The insert piece 8 is conically tapered at its lower end and engages in a correspondingly conically shaped recess of the drill rod 12 provided with a longitudinal bore 11 . Particularly when using non-metallic, elastic materials for the insert 8, a perfect seal between the insert 8 and the drill rod 12 can be achieved in this way. In order to make the seal even more effective, a cylindrical extension 13, which is designed as a lip seal, is connected to the conical taper. However, it is not necessary to design the insert 8 or the lower end of the flushing tube 4 conically; rather, with a corresponding design of the upper end of the drill rod 12, other designs, for example rounded surfaces, can also be provided here.
Only in some cases, where the one acting on the surface F. The water pressure and / or the compressed air pressure acting on the surface Ft is insufficient, the irrigation tube with the required force against the upper end of the drill rod 12, it may be useful to provide a spring in addition. These can for example be arranged in such a way that they are on the one hand on the hammer housing supported while it acts with its other end on the annular surface F1.
