Description
Formation of the friction surfaces on clutches or disc brakes, in particular for motor vehicles The invention relates to a design of the friction surfaces on clutches or disc brakes, especially for motor vehicles, which are predominantly metallic or ceramic friction linings are provided.
The metallic ones that are being introduced to an ever increasing extent Friction linings, such. B. sintered bronze or ceramic friction linings have opposite the almost exclusively usual organic coverings have great advantages on, especially because they are much more wear-resistant, much higher Withstand temperatures and their coefficient of friction even with the appropriate composition always maintained very well. This type of friction lining has so far been the main one Only introduced in machines or also in heavy-duty vehicles, that is in areas of application in which the generation of noise can be neglected. In motor vehicles, especially in passenger cars, these could become metallic or ceramic coverings so far, because they lead to noise, namely to a whistling or squeaking. Research has shown that these noises arise from frictional vibrations and from the sliding speed and the specific surface pressures. It works with sintered bronze coverings through the appropriate composition, in particular through the addition of graphite, to largely prevent the generation of noise when new. With increasing runtime however, and especially with repeated strong heating, the graphite content decreases on the friction surface more and more, so that the noise-reducing effect of the graphite is lost and over time these noises reappear.
The invention is based on the task of reducing this noise or to eliminate it entirely, so there is a use of metallic or ceramic Friction linings in motor vehicles and in particular passenger vehicles now nothing more stands in the way. The invention consists in that one or both of the counter friction surfaces the pressure plates that are pressed against the side of the clutch disc, interruptions or have recesses that occur during a movement between the friction lining of the clutch disc and the opposing friction surfaces a constant change of the applied friction surfaces cause. This results in a frictional vibration causing the noise disturbed and the generation of noise on clutches or disc brakes avoided are predominantly provided with metallic or ceramic friction linings.
It is known to use a brake drum for the purpose of reducing noise slit, but this idea does not apply to disc brakes or clutches metallic or ceramic coverings, since the vibrations in a brake drum have a completely different cause. The vibrations are there due to a brake drum distortion conditionally, an appearance that corresponds to the generic term for the objects cannot occur.
A particularly expedient embodiment of the invention results in that the friction linings are subdivided into segment-axed pieces in a known manner the clutch disc together with the interrupted counter friction surfaces be applied. This results in a constant change in the specific surface pressure caused on the friction surfaces, which the tendency to frictional vibrations even further decreased.
It is already known in clutches, the friction linings on the clutch disc to be arranged on segments. However, these known arrangements are not similar with the invention, since there is no due to the lack of recessed counter friction surfaces Change in the specific surface pressure can occur.
According to a further feature of the invention, it can be advantageous the friction lining segments of the clutch disc and the recesses on the pressure plates to be arranged mutually in different numbers and / or different pitches.
In den F i g. 1 bis 6 sind zwei Ausführungsbeispiele des Erfindungsgegenstandes dargestellt, und zwar zeigt F i g. 1 einen Schnitt parallel zur Achse :durch die Kupplung des zweiten Ausführungsbeispieles, F i g. 2 eine Ansicht gemäß der Linie A -B der Fig.l, F i g. 3 eine Ansicht gemäß der Linie C-D der F i 1, F i g. 4 einen Schnitt parallel zur Achse durch die Kupplung des zweiten Ausführungsbeispieles, F i g. 5 eine Ansicht gemäß der Linie G-H der F i g. 4, F i g. 6 eine Ansicht gemäß der Linie F-F der FiQ 4.In the F i g. 1 to 6 show two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention, namely FIG. 1 shows a section parallel to the axis: through the coupling of the second embodiment, FIG. 2 shows a view along the line A-B of FIGS. 1, F i g. 3 shows a view along the line CD in FIG. 1, FIG. 4 shows a section parallel to the axis through the coupling of the second embodiment, FIG. 5 is a view along line GH in FIG. 4, fig. 6 shows a view along line FF in FIG. 4.
In the F i g. 1 to 3, the clutch disc 1 is connected in a manner known per se to a hub 2 arranged displaceably on the clutch shaft and carries a number of segments 3 on its circumference, which are provided with friction linings 4. The pressure plates, that is to say the clutch pressure plate and the flywheel in the motor vehicle, are denoted by 5 and 6. According to the invention, at least one counter friction surface 11, for. B. that of the pressure plate 5, provided with crescent-shaped recesses 5 a and 5 b, which have the effect that when the friction linings 4 slide on the opposing friction surface 11, a constant change of the applied friction linings 4 of the segments 3 occurs. Even when a closed circular friction lining is used on the clutch disc 1, such a change in the applied friction lining occurs through the recesses on the counter-friction surface 11 of at least one pressure plate 5 or 6. 2, known segment-like division of the friction lining 4 in connection with the recesses in the counter friction surface 11, there is also a continuous change in the specific surface pressure on the friction lining 4 between a maximum and a minimum value, which makes the creation of a friction vibration even more effective is prevented. It is particularly advantageous. the number of segments 3 provided with the friction linings 4 and the number of recesses 5 a and 5 b to be selected differently and also to design the division of these segments or recesses differently. In the case of the one shown in FIG. 2 and 3, the friction linings 4 are arranged symmetrically in 6-part divisions, while the recesses 5 o and 5 b are provided in 5-part divisions.
In the F i g. 4, 5 and 6 a second embodiment is shown. Here, the clutch disc 7 is provided with three segments supporting the friction lining 8, while the pressure plate 5 has recessed recesses 9 and 10 which result in an approximately square counter friction surface 11. This arrangement also causes a permanent change in the applied friction lining 8 and a change in the specific surface pressure on the lining in the same way as in the example shown first.
8 eintritt. In practice it has been shown that it is usually sufficient to use only one counter friction surface, e.g. B. that of the clutch pressure plate 6 to be provided with such recesses, while the other counter friction surface 5, so that in the engine flywheel, can remain full in the usual way. Furthermore, it has been shown that the reduction in the size of the counter friction surface 11 does not result in any significant increase in the wear of the friction linings 4 or 8.
The production of the inventive design of the friction surface is Conceivably easy and practically feasible at no cost, since these are deeper Recesses can already be poured, so that no additional processing required are. The subject matter of the invention can be applied to friction surfaces of disc brakes apply in the same way. as described above.
