Description
Automatically controllable soldering device for soldering circuit boards for telecommunications, in particular telephone systems The invention relates to an automatic Controllable soldering device for soldering circuit boards for telecommunications, in particular Telephone systems in which the circuit board on one side the wiring carries and on which the electrical components to be soldered with her with her Connecting elements.
The invention aims through the special design of the soldering device the per se known automatic soldering also with circuit boards of the named Kind of perform. The known circuit boards carry the wiring on one side, and the electrical components to be soldered with it protrude on the other Plate side attached, with their connection elements through openings in the circuit board on the wiring side. It is known to wire such boards automatically and to be soldered automatically using the dip or wave soldering process. When applied However, this method encounters the difficulty that the mostly from more or less heat-sensitive insulating materials on the surface of existing panels can also be changed outside the solder joint and that it is difficult to apply the solder to the respective one of the very closely spaced solder joints. One Individual soldering of each solder joint would be preferable for these plates, but was previously possible their automatic implementation associated with great difficulty, since it is -this is about the soldering of closely spaced, very small soldering points, in which the soldering processes are essentially only perpendicular to the plane of the plate, d. H. are feasible in a single direction.
To do a single soldering of solder points on circuit boards automatically to be able to perform, according to the invention, an automatically controlled, im Essentially perpendicular to the circuit board, movable soldering iron with a soldering tip provided, which is directed to the plate plane through opening for a also has automatically supplied solder wire in a certain length and with an approach delimiting the soldering zone is provided in such a way that the approach is in the working position of the soldering iron on the wiring, closely encompassing the soldering point, supports. Thanks to this facility, even small, closely spaced and soldering points that can only be processed in one direction are automatically soldered. the Feeding the soldering iron, holding the wiring during the soldering process and the feeding of the soldering material can be done in the same direction with simple, bilateral tool movements. The approach ensures that the for the amount of soldering space required, without more space in the working position of the soldering iron to need than it this amount of solder and a relatively small to be kept Wall thickness of the approach corresponds. The setting of the individual solder points the circuit board in the work path of the device can be known per se Way by an automatically controlled displacement of the circuit board below the facility.
The soldering tip is expediently fastened to the soldering iron as a detachable one Formed angle, the free leg with the feed-through opening and with the approach is provided. This results in a simple design of the soldering tip despite its multiple functions and can easily be replaced if necessary.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the lead-through openings on the feed side of the solder wire and an equiaxed opening in the approach designed conically to delimit the utzone. Solder wire guide and solder zone delimitation are ensured in this particularly simple way, and the supply of the solder wire like the flow of melting solder are facilitated. To a to supply precisely measured amount of solder and the melting of the solder wire undisturbed to cause, according to a further embodiment of the invention, the solder wire in guided a guide sleeve movable perpendicular to the circuit board, from which it is pushed out by an amount necessary for the soldering. In this way only a length of solder wire is exposed and exposed to the heat of fusion of the piston, which corresponds to the required amount of soldering material for the soldering point.
In the following the invention is shown on the basis of one in the drawing Embodiment described. It means F i g. 1 a schematically shown Embodiment of the soldering device according to the invention, FIG. 2 a schematic diagram for the soldering device in the rest position before the start of soldering, F i g. 3 the soldering device in an intermediate position, F i g. 4 the soldering device in its position during the Soldering process, F i g. 5 the soldering device in the rest position after the soldering process.
In Fig. 1 is the end of a soldering iron that can be moved in the direction of the arrow 1 shown. A soldering tip 2 is detachably screwed onto the soldering iron 1 in such a way that that the soldering tip 2 touches the soldering iron 1 over as large an area as possible. The soldering tip 2 is made of a material known per se, which is characterized by good thermal conductivity and low adhesive force for the soldering material. The soldering tip 1 is designed as an angle, the free leg 3 of which is parallel to the direction of movement of the soldering iron 1 extending through opening 4, into which a solder wire 5 is inserted by means of a guide sleeve 6. The guide sleeve 6 is also movable parallel to the direction of movement of the soldering iron 1. The soldering wire 5 can be pushed out of the guide sleeve 6. On the solder wire 5 facing end 7, the passage opening 4 is conical and opens into a likewise conical opening 8, which is the end 7 of the feed-through opening 4 is directed in the opposite direction and extends in a shoulder 9 on the leg 3.
The passage opening 4 and the opening 8 can also be in one separate, can be provided in the soldering tip 2 body, so that the the flow of the solder ensuring part of the soldering device without removing the Soldering tip can be exchanged.
The mode of operation of the soldering device shown is shown in FIG G. 2 to 5. A wiring 11 is known per se on a circuit board 10 Way set on one side; where in the drawing only the cross section of one Jumper wire of the wiring 11 is shown. On the other side of the circuit board 10, electrical components 12 are attached, also in a manner known per se, which with angled connection elements 13 through openings 14 on the wiring side the circuit board 10 protrude and in this position to the respective Apply jumper wire to wiring 11. First, the circuit board 10 becomes so set that the respective soldering point 12/13 is in the work path of the soldering tip 2 and the solder wire 5 is located (Fig. 2). This can e.g. B. by a not shown, known compound slide happen on which the circuit board 10 is applied and which is used for the automatic production of the wiring 11 and is therefore already present, the soldering device according to the invention needs only in place of the facility for wiring before starting soldering to be swiveled in via the compound slide mentioned. Then it sinks Soldering tip 2 until it is seated on the wiring 11. via the soldering iron 1 (F i G. 1) the soldering tip 2 and thus the soldering point 11/13 is heated up. Meanwhile the solder wire 5 is pushed out of the guide sleeve 6 as far as solder material required for this solder joint - is. This length is adjustable (Fig. 3). On that the soldering wire 5 is inserted through the guide opening 4 by means of the guide sleeve 6 (Fig. 4). The exposed solder material melts and flows into you space essentially delimited by the conical opening 8; d. H. into the soldering zone. The heating of the soldering tip 2 is interrupted and while the soldering material cools down, begins to lift the guide sleeve 6, while the soldering tip 2 only after Cooling of the solder material lifts off (Fig. 5). From the advanced solder wire 5 is while that in FIG. 5 end 15 shown hatched melted. The one on this Solder cone 16 produced in this manner does not become larger than the minimum necessary amount of the soldering material required, and the space required for the soldering process only becomes increased by the wall thickness of the approach 9 in addition to this. The the soldering process causing tool movements are in the same direction and are perpendicular to the plane of the circuit board 10. The realization of such movements can, however particularly easy to carry out by machine, e.g. B. by means of a simple cam control.
