Abschalten muß in vielen Fällen selbsttätig geschehen.
Electrothermal auxiliary phase relay for switching off the auxiliary start-up phase
in single-phase induction motors It is known that single-phase induction motors by means of
switchable auxiliary phase can be started. The one required after the start-up
In many cases, shutdown must happen automatically. This can include, among other things
electromagnetic or electrothermal relays can be used. The electromagnetic
For this purpose, relays are controlled as a function of time, current and / or voltage.
Usually there is a comparison on a magnetic basis between voltages and currents
instead, which occur in the main and auxiliary phase winding.
The invention relates to an electrothermal auxiliary phase relay.
Such relays consist of one, the contact for switching off the auxiliary phase
actuating bimetal strip, which is heated by an electrical heating coil
will. In known electrothermal auxiliary phase relays, the heating winding is in
Connected in series with the main winding of the motor or in series with the main and auxiliary windings.
When switching on, the bimetal strip is heated and after a short time the auxiliary phase
switched off. However, such a circuit has the disadvantage that the high short-circuit current
at the moment of switch-on in the heating winding of the auxiliary phase relay a proportionately
causes large voltage drop, which in weak networks can be so large that
the starting torque of the motor is no longer sufficient to overcome the opposing forces,
d. that is, the motor will not start. But also in stronger networks the described
Connection of the heating winding of the auxiliary phase relay in series with the motor winding
Disadvantage that just at the time when the engine has a large torque
what is required, namely at the moment of start-up, is a considerable reduction in the torque
occurs, so that the start of the motor is not guaranteed.
This disadvantage is eliminated in another known arrangement
avoided that the heating current for the bimetal strip from a mains-fed transformer
is delivered. Such an auxiliary phase relay requires a large structure and
thus relatively high effort, since precautions must be taken with it
too high losses in the heating winding do not occur during continuous operation.
According to the invention, in electrothermal auxiliary phase relays
for switching off the auxiliary start-up phase in single-phase induction motors
Improvement with regard to the mode of action and with regard to the effort as a result
it can be achieved that the auxiliary phase relay is provided with two heating windings,
one of which is connected via a series resistor during the start-up process
the mains voltage is connected, and the other only after switching off the
Auxiliary phase is connected in series with the main winding.
insbesondere der Heizwicklung 52, @ or 1?berlastung.
Sch. Itbrücke 41 versehen sein. The invention will be explained in more detail using the exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing. The single-phase induction motor with the main winding 1 and the auxiliary winding 2 is fed from a single-phase network R, O. An electrothermal auxiliary phase relay 3, which consists of a bimetallic strip 4, the associated heating windings 51, 52 and the contacts 6, 71 and 72, is used to switch off the auxiliary winding after startup. The main switch is denoted by 8. The I-eleven-phase relay has two heating windings 51 and 52, of which the heating winding 52 is connected in series with the main winding 1 and is short-circuited at start-up by the contact 71 via the bimetallic strip 4, while the heating winding 51 is connected to the mains voltage via the series resistor 9 . When the motor switch 8 is closed, a circuit is closed from phase R via switch 8, bimetallic strip 4, contact 71 and main winding 1 on the one hand, and via contact 72 and auxiliary winding 2 on the other. At the same time, the heating winding 51 is switched on via the series resistor 9 via the contact 72. The heating winding 51 heats the bimetallic strip 4 and this opens the contacts 71 and 72. This disconnects the auxiliary winding 2 and the heating winding 51 with the series resistor 9 and at the same time the short circuit of the heating winding 52 caused by the contact 71 is canceled, so that it is now in continuous operation as in the previously known arrangements is connected in series with the main winding 1 and the bimetallic strip 4 continues to heat. The contact 6 serves to protect the electrothermal auxiliary phase relay, in particular the heating winding 52, or overload. If the current absorbed by the main winding 1 becomes too great, the bimetallic strip 4 is heated so much by the heating winding 52 that the contact 6 is closed; however, the heating winding 52 is short-circuited and the bimetallic strip 4 opens the contact 6 after cooling without closing the contacts 71 and 72, since the heating winding 52 had previously heated the bimetallic strip sufficiently by the current of the main winding 1. The voltage applied to the main winding 1 of the motor at the moment it is switched on is therefore not reduced by a voltage drop on a heating winding of the auxiliary phase relay. On the other hand, as in the known devices, the auxiliary phase relay is heated in continuous operation by the heating winding 52 connected in series with the main winding 1 of the motor. In order to obtain a perfect support of the contacts 71 and 72, as shown in the figure, the bimetallic strip with a pivotably mounted Sch. It bridge 41 be provided.
