Steel holder The invention relates to a steel holder with a the
Tool-receiving steel holder head, which is used to adjust the rake angle on the front
Shaft end is pivotably mounted and adjustable by means of a toothing.
These known steel holders have the advantage that when used
of a normal square lathe tool, only the front side needs to be reground
does not have to be closed any more, while the other surfaces are due to the inclination
edit are. In the known steel holders of the type mentioned are the steel holder head
and the front end of the shaft connected to one another by a Hirtsche spur toothing.
There is now the risk that under the influence of the cutting force of the tool
bearing steel holder head is moved along the flanks of the toothing, so
that the pivotable part of the clamped part under load due to the slope
is withdrawn and almost the entire load is absorbed by the fastening screw
must be, whereby a rattle is inevitable when turning. This disadvantage will
avoided according to the invention in that the toothing is designed as a saw toothing
whose straight flank is arranged opposite the cutting force. At a
saw teeth formed in this way are used by the pivotable steel holder head
the cutting pressures are automatically coupled with the shaft clamped on the support,
so that the fastening screw is almost completely relieved. The connection
of steel holder head and shaft end is further improved by the fact that in the plane
the toothing a centering ring is arranged. The fastening screw thus serves
only as a locking screw.
des Stahlhalters in Richtung C der Abb. 1.In the drawing is an example embodiment of the object
of the invention shown. Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the steel holder head
and the end of the shaft, Fig. 2 is a plan view of the steel holder and Fig. 3 is a front view
of the steel holder in direction C of Fig. 1.
ergeben. The shaft 1 is designed in the shape of a circular disk at its front end
and provided on its face with a saw toothing, in one of them accordingly
formed saw teeth on the steel holder head 2 engages. The saw toothing is
designed so that the straight flank of the cutting force is opposite
is. Both the front end of the shaft and the steel holder head 2 are at their
provide opposite sides with a circular recess,
in which a centering ring 3 that fits exactly into the recess is inserted. Of the
Steel holder head 2 is attached to the front end of the shaft by a centrally located fastening screw
4 held. The centering ring 3 has a central bore, the diameter of which
is larger than the diameter of the fastening screw 4. In the remaining circular
A compression spring 5 is arranged in between, which is located on the steel holder head 2 and
supported on the shaft end. In a recess running transversely on the steel holder head 2
a turning tool 7 is arranged, which can be clamped in the recess by means of screws 6
is. The front end of the shaft is perpendicular to the axial direction of the shaft
Direction twisted by the angle x and in the lateral direction by the angle y. Corresponding
the steel holder head 2 also has a direction that deviates from the axial direction of the shaft 1
Position, so that the clearance angles α and β on the lathe tool 7 clamped therein
result.
When loosening the fastening screw 4, the steel holder head 2 is through
the compression spring 5 is pressed out of the saw teeth and can then according to a scale,
which has a 6 ° division and which is engraved on the outer circumference of the steel holder head 2
is pivoted and clamped again by the fastening screw 4.
Then the turning tool 7 is fixed with the screws 6. By rotating the
Steel holder head 2 can have any required rake angle i, corresponding to the 6 ° division
can be set. Since the turning tool17 due to the inclination of the steel holder head
2 has the two clearance angles a and i3, only needs the
angle
e to be ground according to the rotation of the steel holder head 2.
