Durch diese Anordnung wird eine gedachte Fläche aus Ebenen durch die aufeinanderfolgenden Scharnierachsen einen ähnlichen zick-zack-förmigen Verlauf wie bei den bekannten Faltwänden aufweisen, selbst wenn die Wandteile zusammen eine ebene Fläche bilden.
