Der Gesamtquerschnitt aller dieser Öffnungen wird dabei so bemessen, daß bei bestimmten Mengenanfall an frischen Heizgas ein so hoher Druckunterschied zwischen dem Gasdruck im Innern des Mischrohres und dem im Abgaskanal herrschenden Druck entsteht, daß sich die Druckschwankungen im Abgaskanal für den Brennerbetrieb in der Brennkammer nur noch unbedeutend, entsprechend dem jeweils herrschenden Druckunterschied, auswirken können, wodurch eine derartige Dämpfung der Druckwellen erreicht wird, die ein Auslöschen der Brennerflamme mit Sicherheit vermeiden läßt.
