Gemäß der Erfindung wird diese Aufgabe bei einer in einem Veranstaltungsraum (Festsaal, Tanzsaal, Turnhalle u. d'gl.) vor einer Raumwand angeordneten, bei Nichtgebrauch auf einen geringen Teil des in Gebrauchsstellung eingenommenen umbauten Raumes verkleinerbaren Bühne, die im wesentlichen aus einem Portalrahmen und einer gegenüber dem Boden des Raumes erhöhten Plattform als Bühnenboden besteht, dadurch gelöst, daß die Bühne mit einem Fahrwerk versehen ist und mittels eines Antriebes in Richtung auf die Wand, vor der die Bühne angeordnet ist, beim Verkleinern auf einem geringen Teil der Bühnentiefe zusammengeschoben oder umgekehrt in die Gebrauchsstellung ausgefahren werden kann, wobei für diese Zwecke am Bühnenrahmen unten innen das Fahrwerk angebracht ist, unmittelbar über dem Fahrwerk ein die Plattform bildendes Podium aasgelenkt ist und oben an beiden Seiten zwei mit dem Podium nach Art einer Schere zusammenwirkende Stabilisierungsstangen gelenkig angeschlossen sind.
