(a, b) angeschlossenes, auf Rufwechselstrom ansprechendes, verzögert abfallendes
A flashing light signal emitting display device on or at telephone stations The subject of the invention is a flashing light signal arrangement of high brightness which, instead of or in addition to the acoustic signal (bell) -: reports an incoming call to telephones. If a call is made to a telephone station, an alarm clock is usually activated by the intermittent alternating ringing current. It is also known to use this alternating ringing current to operate a light signal. Since a glow system is provided for this purpose, which is fed directly from the alternating ringing current, no special light effect can be expected. Furthermore, there are already known devices for generating light flashes (photo flash devices or light flash stroposcopes) in which a lamp is made to glow from a high-resistance, only weakly loadable power source by charging a capacitor. In a similar way, the arrangement according to the invention generates a bright light signal. This effect is achieved in that a delayed dropping relay (R1) is provided which is connected to the subscriber lines (a, b) via a capacitor (C) and responds to ringing alternating current which contains a capacitor (CL) which can be charged via a series resistor (RV) which limits the direct current flow and to which a relay (RZ) and a lamp (L) that can be switched on by this relay are connected in parallel. According to a further feature of the invention, to protect against reverse polarity of the electrolytic capacitor (CL7) used as a storage capacitor, the direct current circuit containing this capacitor is connected to the exchange line (a, b) via a rectifier system (G2) . The invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the single figure of the drawing, which shows a circuit arrangement for the flashing light according to the invention.
die Fernsprechleitung a, b angeschaltet.
A relay R 1, to which a rectifier G1 and a capacitor CV are connected in parallel, is connected via a capacitor C between the two line cores a, b. As a result, the relay R 1 is able to respond to alternating ringing current. The relay R 1 is also drop-delayed so that it keeps its contact SR 1 closed in the pauses between the alternating current pulses of the ringing current. A relay R 2, a capacitor C 1 and an incandescent lamp L in series with the contact SR 2 of the relay R 2 are connected in parallel to the telephone line a, b via this contact via a series resistor RV. If a call is made to a telephone station equipped with the arrangement according to the invention, the relay R 1 is first made to respond by the alternating ringing current, which closes its contact SR 1 as long as the ringing current arrives. A circuit for the direct voltage from the office battery is now closed via the contact SR 1 via the series resistor RV and the relay R 2, to which the capacitor C 1 is parallel. The capacitor C 1 begins to charge and, because of its high current consumption, initially prevents the relay R 2 in the voltage divider circuit RV / R 2 from responding. When the voltage on the capacitor has reached a certain value, the relay R 2 responds and closes its contact SR 2 As a result, the capacitor C 1, which is a capacitor with a large capacity, preferably an electrolytic capacitor, can discharge via the lamp L, which emits a bright flash of light during this discharge. Since the relay R 2 drops out again after the discharge, the process described above starts all over again, and it is repeated until the hook switch contact GU is opened by lifting the handset or the call stops.
To protect the electrolytic capacitor C 1 against incorrect polarity,
a rectifier arrangement G 2 is provided in a bridge circuit.
Blinken). The resistor RV is dimensioned so that there is no
Relay comes to response. The lamp used is a standard filament lamp
small performance.
It should also be noted that by using
of a storage capacitor the brightness of the flashing discharge in a wide range of
independent of the fluctuating input voltage (as a result of changing line loss)
is. Only the interval of the discharge changes (faster or slower
Flash).
