Beim Photographiren mittelst künstlicher Beleuchtung, namentlich bei der Blitzlichtphotographie, ist der Umstand störend, dafs bei Benutzung nur einer Lichtquelle ungünstige Licht- und Schattenwirkungen eintreten, während sich bei Anordnung mehrerer Lichtquellen die Schwierigkeit ergiebt, sä'mmtliche Lichtquellen genau gleichzeitig zu entzünden. Man hat diese Üebelstä'nde durch Benutzung nur einer Lichtquelle in Verbindung mit einem zwischen diese und das Object einzuschaltenden Lichtschirm zu vermeiden gesucht. Dabei aber ergab sich die Nothwendigkeit, aufserdem noch Reflexschirme anzuwenden. Trotzdem sind die auf diesem Wege gewonnenen Aufnahmen technisch mangelhaft.
