Gutrezipient.Freeze-drying system with an ice condenser designed as a pipe system
The invention relates to a freeze-drying system with a pipe system
formed ice condenser, which is arranged in a colder room than the
Good recipient.
In a known freeze-drying system, the good recipient is in
arranged in a container and surrounded therein by a warm bath of liquid. Of the
Container has a domed lid, which is called a
Ice condenser is formed. The coil is filled with a coolant.
Another known freeze-drying system consists of two interconnected
Vacuum containers. One container is designed as a good recipient, while the
others contain the ice condenser, an evaporator coil as a cooling system. the
Vacuum containers come into contact with the warm ambient air. The pipe coils
of the known systems are cooled inside, and the ice is deposited on the outside. There
the container walls are warm, they radiate heat onto the ice layer. the
Radiation from heat is particularly detrimental when the ice builds up on the cooling pipe system
becomes thicker and the heat released during condensation is no longer as fast
as can be derived from a thin ice deposit. Then not just one kicks
Slowing down the condensation, but also increasing the freezing temperature,
with which the partial pressure and the residual moisture in the good also increase.
The object of the invention is to reduce the harmful heat radiation
Avoid and keep the heat dissipation as constant as possible when the ice builds up
to keep. This is achieved in that in a system described at the outset
the colder room is a vessel with cooling liquid, in which the ice condenser, its
Inner walls of the pipe are the condensation surfaces for the sublimated from the material to be dried
Vapors are, fully or partially immersed.
With this construction, the cooling takes place on the outside of the
Pipes and the ice build-up in the pipes. This has the advantage that there is heat radiation
on the ice layer is avoided. The freezing temperature in the
The pipes of the pipe system do not rise, because the dissipation of heat increases with
Ice accretion will not deteriorate. As the ice thickness increases, so does the inner surface
each tube is smaller, roughly in proportion to the clear diameter in the ice
to the pipe diameter. In the opposite relationship, the heat dissipation is favored.
For example, if a pipe with a diameter of 20 mm has an attachment of 3 mm of ice, see this
the heat dissipation is about 20:14 cheaper than with a flat wall
with the same commitment, based on the same ice surface. By this property
the deterioration of the heat transfer is caused by pipes with internal ice accretion
the ice accretion is evened out again.
dargestellt. An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing
shown.
luftdicht sitzenden Deckel 20. Die Truhe 3 hat ein Fenster 7.In addition to a known freezer 1 with an attached cooling machine set 2, a chest 3 is set up, in the interior 4 of which is a vessel 5 with a coolant 10, for. B. ethyl alcohol stands. The coolant is circulated by means of a pump 11 via a cooling coil 13 . A material recipient 14 and an ice condenser 15 designed as a pipe system are arranged in the space 4 of the chest 3. The ice condenser consists of several tubes with cumulative steam inlet cross-sections and is immersed in the coolant. It is connected to a high vacuum pump 17 by a line 16. The recipient of the goods consists of a glass housing 19 and an airtight lid 20. The chest 3 has a window 7.
Should a good, e.g. B. the tissue particles of a living being or a plant sap are dried in the order of 1 com, the system is put into operation a few hours before the start of drying, so that the interior 4 of the chest 3 to the desired temperature, for. B. -60 ° C in the cooling liquid and -40 ° C above the same is cooled. The good is now placed in the glass housing of the good recipient. Then the vacuum pump is switched on. When the high vacuum arises, the water present as ice in the material that has been brought in sublimes, ie it changes directly from the frozen state into steam. The heat required for evaporation radiates through the window and can be intensified by a lamp from the outside. The water vapor flows in an advantageous manner through the pipe openings that add up into the pipes of the ice condenser and is immediately deposited on the inner walls of the pipes as a layer of ice. The number of tubes is chosen so that the resistance to the steam flow is low. Sublimation and ice precipitation take so long until the goods have dried. When this state is reached, one has to determine through experiments or observation at the window.
When the drying process has ended, the dried material is removed.
New goods can now be dried until the ice accumulates a certain thickness
has reached. Then the ice condenser is taken out of the vessel and defrosted.
