Frequency Stabilization Circuit For Oscillators The invention is concerned
with a frequency stabilization circuit for oscillators with an oscillator circuit.
Electronic frequency stabilization circuits are known
in which the frequency generated by the oscillator is fed to a discriminator
and the control voltage generated by the discriminator via a retuning circuit
Oscillator tunes. The discriminator circuit (s) thus serves as the frequency standard.
Furthermore, the use of band filters in the feedback path is not really coupled
Circles for eliminating unwanted coupling vibrations known per se.
-
relativ stark versteilert wird.At a frequency stabilization circuit ÜR oscillators f with an oscillator resonant circuit and min-'destens an additional resonant circuit, the invention proposes that this additional resonance circuit does not contribute to the vibration generator, only by substantially real coupling with the frequency-determining Osalatorschwingkreis is connected so that this to a band pass filter is supplemented. The arrangement according to the invention has the advantage that the large additional expense required for the electronic frequency stabilization circuits due to the control voltage generation and readjustment is avoided. The stabilization7 takes place because the phase response of the oscillating resistance - which is identical to the input resistance of the band filter that is produced in this way - is steepened relatively sharply.

For comparison, the phase response of the input resistance for K = 0.9 of an imaginarily coupled band filter is shown in dashed lines. In the case of a real coupling, a coupling factor equal to or greater than one is impossible, since for K = 1 the requirement OßKI = i eK1 # = 0 exists, which is identical to the requirement QI = Q2 = - " - FIG a circuit arrangement according to the invention. For higher frequencies it is necessary, the unwanted additional reactive coupling, which is caused by the capacitance of the coupling resistor to neutralize. the coupling resistor 7 has the intrinsic capacitance 10, the broken lines This self-capacitance is compensated by the neutralization by means of the Neutralization capacitor 11, which leads from the anode of the oscillator tube to the additional circuit. The neutralization capacitor can be trimmed so that the neutralization can be precisely adjusted.
Fig. 4 zeigt ein derartiges Schaltungsbeispiel. Darin ist 12 der sehr niederohmige
Koppelwiderstand, der die Kreise 2, 3 und 9, 8 miteinander verkoppelt.Another solution to the problem is to avoid additional blind couplings essentially by using a T coupling instead of n coupling. In the case of T coupling, the impedance, in this case the ohmic resistance of the coupling element, is known to be several Orders of magnitude lower than with -v coupling. The consequence of this is that the self-capacitance of the resistor is largely negligible. Fig. 4 shows such a circuit example. Here, 12 is the very low-resistance coupling resistor that couples circuits 2, 3 and 9, 8 to one another.
Fig. 5a soll die Skala
eines normalen durchstimmbaren Empfängers darstellen. Fig. 5b und 5c zeigen
bzw. K = 0,9.
Fig. 6 zeigt eine solche Schaltungsvariante.
und die Kreise 8, 9; 14, 15; 16, 17;
Will
Fig.
The frequency stabilization according to the invention can be used not only in fixed oscillators, but also offers interesting circuit possibilities for variable oscillators. Since the additional circuit can of course only exert a frequency-stabilizing effect in the vicinity of its natural resonance, this has the consequence that this stabilization occurs only in a very specific range in an oscillator with a variable frequency. In practice, this has the effect of spreading the range. The area in question is stretched significantly. Such range spreads, e.g. B. for commercial receivers, are so far effected by means of special variable capacitors or electronically. A special variable capacitor has the disadvantage that the position of the area to be spread cannot be changed. Electronic arrangements are associated with a certain amount of effort and are far from having the operational reliability of a simple coupled circuit. Fig. 5a is intended to represent the scale of a normal tunable receiver. FIGS. 5b and 5c show the resulting scale when using a range spread with K = 0.7 and K = 0.9, respectively. If you want to spread several areas of the tuning range of the oscillator, it is of course easily possible to make the additional circuit tunable or to switch to certain frequencies using a switch. Another possibility is to use several additional circles that are tuned to the different frequency ranges to be spread. Only one coupling resistor needs to be used. Fig. 6 shows such a circuit variant. Therein 13 is the variable capacitor of the oscillator, 12 is again the base point coupling resistor, and the circles 8, 9; 14, 15; 16, 17; 18, 19 are the additional oscillating circuits. The size of the spreading factor depends on the size of the coupling factor. If you want a strong range spread, the coupling factor must be large; if you only want a weak range spread, a small coupling factor is chosen. It is therefore possible to vary the size of the coupling and thus the strength of the spread by varying the coupling resistance. The spreading factor depends on the quality Q of the circles. If the quality is high, the spread area is small. The frequency stabilization of this type can also be used with particular success for oscillators whose frequency cannot be continuously tuned, but can be switched to specific frequencies by means of switches. With such oscillators it cannot be avoided that the inherent capacitance of the switch creates a certain uncertainty with regard to the exact reproducibility of the frequencies to be switched. This uncertainty can be restricted quite considerably if, according to the invention, an additional, actually coupled stabilization circuit is used for each frequency to be switched on, which is not also switched over. FIG. 6 shows such relationships when a switch and various capacitors are placed in place of the variable capacitor 13. The additional circuits must be adjusted to the desired frequencies.
If the circuit according to the invention is applied to oscillators that
electronically tuned to a target frequency with the help of an automatic retuning system
(e.g. the horizontal deflection oscillator in televisions), you can use it
positively influence the tuning characteristics of the oscillator. Under the retuning characteristic
of the oscillator one understands the dependence of the oscillator frequency on the supplied
Control voltage. You can achieve that by coupling an additional circle
the steepness of the retuning characteristic in the vicinity of the target frequency is essential
deviates from the slope in the rest of the frequency range.
