Der auf beiliegender Zeichnung (Fig. 1 bis 4) dargestellte Abortspülkasten füllt sich während der Benutzung und entleert sich beim Verlassen des Abortes. Der Sitz des letzteren ist um Scharniere oder dergl. beweglich angeordnet und befindet sich unter ihm der Hebel oder Schieber /?, der mit einem in das Wasserleitungsrohr eingeschalteten Hahn oder Ventil verbunden ist. Wird der Sitz des Abortes niedergedrückt, so wird bei der gezeichneten Ausführungsform der Ventilteller ν, der durch den Wasserdruck selbst gegen den Ventilsitz gedrückt wird, von demselben durch den Hebel h abgehoben, welcher bei der Bewegung an die Ventilstange 5 trifft. Der Bolzen kann, wie gezeichnet, mit einer Stellschraube s^l ver- , sehen sein, durch deren Verstellung ein gröfseres oder geringeres Oeffnen des Ventils erfolgt. Das Heben des Abortsitzes kann durch ein Gewicht, durch besondere Federn oder gleichzeitig durch die event, angeordnete Ventilfeder herbeigeführt werden.The toilet cistern shown in the accompanying drawing (Fig. 1 to 4) fills during use and empties when leaving the toilet. Die Kolbenstange A:¹ ist mit dem bei a¹ drehbaren Hebel α verbunden; dieser bezw. die Kolbenstange wird durch ein Gewicht q oder durch eine Feder beeinflufst. Mit dem Hebel α ist der Ventilkörper t verbunden; infolge des Hebens des Kolbens wird dieser niedergedrückt und die Oeffnung des Abfallrohres verschlossen. Die Ventilstange i ist hohl gestaltet und dient gleichzeitig als Ueberlauf, falls sich der Kasten zu hoch füllt. Es könnte aber auch die Einrichtung getroffen werden, dafs das Zuflufsrohr durch einen Schwimmer geschlossen wird, wenn der Kasten bis zu einer bestimmten Höhe gefüllt ist.
