Description
The main patent application relates to a known microphone based on the electrostatic principle with externally metallized plastic membrane as a movable electrode and with a fixed, perforated one Counter electrode, in which the membrane is supported in the middle by an elevation on the counter electrode is. According to the main patent application, the distance between the membrane and the counter electrode increases from the edge, where the membrane rests directly on the counter electrode, towards the middle so steadily so little that the membrane is temporarily at least at the the part of the counter electrode that is adjacent to the edge. That way is the sensitivity of the microphone has been increased compared to the known electrostatic microphones.
The present invention shows how the sensitivity can be increased even further. To this Purpose the microphone is modified according to the invention according to the main patent application in the following way. In addition to the central elevation on the counter electrode or instead of the same, the Counter electrode in a known manner (German Patent 377 921) concentric, ring-shaped elevations, which also serve to support the membrane. But the distance between Membrane and counter electrode from one ring to the next or from the inner ring to the Middle according to the principle of the main patent application so steadily so little to or from that the membrane temporarily clings to part of the counter electrode during the vibrations.
The constant change in the distance according to the main patent application is therefore according to the invention several times on the individual parts of the membrane between the mentioned support points of the Membrane applied. As a result, the membrane is temporarily in contact with a larger one during the oscillations Surface of the counter electrode than in the main patent application.

Die Gegenelektrode ist in bekannter Weise siebförmig mit Löchern 10 versehen. a 5 arranges, through which the membrane is stretched over the projection 8 of the base plate. The counter electrode is provided with holes 10 in the form of a sieve in a known manner.
In FIG. 1, as in the main patent application, the counter electrode has an elevation 11 in the middle which the membrane rests on. But there are also elevations 12 in the form of concentric rings attached, which are sawtooth-shaped. The membrane therefore only rests on the edge of the rings and hugs the inclined surfaces of the counter electrode during the oscillations. FIG. 3 differs from FIG. 2 only in that the elevation 11 is omitted.
In Fig. 4, the sloping surfaces slope inward instead of outward.
The elevations can have the same or different distances from one another. Will the distances If the center is smaller than the outside, the high frequencies are in the inner zone and the outer zone prefers the low frequencies. One can go to the transition point between these two Zones place an annular abutment from above on the membrane, which prevents the The membrane vibrates at this point.
The pressure of the abutment is expediently only dimensioned so large that the movement 1 of the membrane can be evenly distributed over the entire surface of the membrane under the influence of the temperature.
