Description
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur fortlaufenden Herstellung von Kunststoffüberzügen oder -filmen aus kaltpolymerisierenden Polyesterlacken.The invention relates to a method for the continuous production of plastic coatings or films from cold-curing polyester lacquers.
Es ist bereits bekannt, bei Verwendung derartiger Lacke den Polymerisations- und Härtevorgang dadurch zu beschleunigen und für eine industrielle Fließproduktion geeignet zu machen, daß man den Lösungen ungesättigter Polyesterharze vor dem Auftrag sowohl Katalysatoren, z. B. organische Peroxyde, als auch Beschleuniger, etwa Naphthenate, zusetzt. Dies hat aber den großen Nachteil, daß die Polymerisation nicht nur am Arbeitsstück rasch fortschreitet, sondern schon in den Vorratsgefäßen des Lackes einsetzt, so daß entweder äußerst schnell gearbeitet werden muß oder eine zunehmende Verkrustung und Zusetzung der Gefäße stattfindet, die insbesondere zu einer Verstopfung von Schlitzen, Düsen u. dgl. führt.It is already known that when such lacquers are used, the polymerization and hardening process is thereby effected to accelerate and to make suitable for an industrial flow production that one unsaturated the solutions Polyester resins prior to application both catalysts, z. Man hat nun zur Verhütung derartiger Erscheinungen bereits vorgeschlagen, so zu verfahren, daß man den ungesättigten Polyesterlack in zwei Komponenten zerteilt, dessen einer der Katalysator und dessen anderer der ao Beschleuniger zugesetzt wird, wobei die Mischung beider Teile erst auf dem Arbeitsstück erfolgt, so daß also auch die Polymerisation erst außerhalb der Auftragsvorrichtung einsetzt. Dieser Gedanke, in der Theorie sehr brauchbar, hat sich in seiner bisherigen praktischen Handhabung nicht bewährt. Man hat nämlich die Lackkomponenten mittels Pistolen zerstäubt, um eine innige Mischung derselben zu erzielen. Hierbei zeigt sich aber, daß es nicht möglich ist, zu gleichmäßigen Lackschichten zu gelangen, weil der Auftrag von manueller Geschicklichkeit abhängt. Die äußerst dünnen Überzüge werden ungleichförmig, polymerisieren demgemäß flächig verschieden und erhalten ein fleckiges Aussehen. fortschreitende Polymerisation stattfindet, die angesichts des gleichförmigen Vergießens der Lackschichten zu

Dabei lassen sich Einrichtungen zum Zurückführen des überschüssigen Lackes zu den Gießköpfen vorsehen, wobei eine Pumpe, Saug- oder Hebevorrichtung zur Überführung der überschüssigen Lackkomponenten aus den entsprechenden Auffangbehältern in die Vorratsbehälter dient.The paint components can be applied in any order.
