Die bisher im Gebrauch befindlichen, aus einem Hohlstab und einem in diesem verschiebbaren massiven Stabe bestehenden verstellbaren Vorhangstangen haben den Uebelstand, dafs beim Hin- und Herschieben der Vorhangringe auf der Stange die Ringe beim Uebergang von einem Theil der Stange auf den anderen, nämlich von der massiven Stange auf die Hohlstange, an der überstehenden Stirnkante der letzteren einen Widerstand finden und dadurch nicht glatt über diese Stelle hinweggleiten, sondern an derselben hängen bleiben und sich nur schwer oder oftmals gar nicht mittelst der Zugschnur über dieselbe hinwegbewegen lassen.
