Description

It is known to handle staple fibers in the dry or melted state with powdery, amorphous or earthy dry substances in order to increase the adhesiveness of the fiber surface and thus the spinnability of the fibers. Handling the dry, finely divided substances in the processing plant is very annoying. In addition, the fiber material treated in this way must be dedusted before spinning and, if necessary, melted again. The simultaneous use of powdered substances and, in addition, z. B. soaps or oils, whereby the adhesion of the powdered substances to the fiber is improved and their absorption capacity for the soaps or oils is to be increased, is difficult to carry out in the processing plant. A similarly laborious process consists in soaking fibers with metal salt solutions and then producing precipitates of solid particles on the fibers by treating them with precipitants. In addition to these measures aimed at secondary spinning, the mixing of silicic acid aerogels into spinning solutions, that is to say before primary spinning, is known; Fibers of increased abrasion and splice resistance are intended to be produced in this way. It is also known that the spinning properties of natural and chemical fibers can be significantly improved by using aqueous dispersions or colloidal solutions of silicic acid, either alone or in combination with other metal oxides, with the preparation or softening agents to be applied to the fibers prior to spinning Adding lime emulsions. However, this process has the disadvantage that the dispersions and sols of the silica usually only have a very low SiO 2 content, so that large amounts of water have to be transported at the same time as the active substances.

The present invention is based on the object the spinnability and other processing and application properties of natural and to improve chemical fibers or their mixtures and to make funds available for this, which are based on can be used in a technically advantageous manner.

According to the invention, such agents are preparation agents, softeners and lubricant emulsions, their characteristics consists in the fact that they are in solid, finely divided form as an airgel added silica, clay or contain other metal oxides or mixtures thereof.

The solid, finely divided additives are expediently incorporated in a particle size of 1 to 500 μμ into the preparation, softening agents or sizing emulsions to be applied to the fibers before spinning.

Die Präparationsmittel, AvivagemittelBy introducing such aerogels into the preparation, softening agents or lubricants, the Adhesion properties of the natural or chemical fibers treated therewith changed particularly favorably. the Preparation agents, softeners

Haftkraft bzw. Adhesive force or adhesive length of the fiber fleece or card or Carding tape, top sliver or flyer roving or roving is significantly increased. One achieves a More even and stronger yarn and roving that are less prone to thread breaks. The spinning mill is increased because the yarns require fewer twists (full weft and tricot yarns). There is also a decrease of waste achieved. There is no yellowing of the fibers or yarns.

In the case of cotton, the preparation and softening agents are mainly used during spinning bleached and colored flake in question. In the case of chemical fibers, the use of Preparation agents necessary so that the fibers become soft and open. In the case of synthetic fibers, often have too great a softness, a combination with antistatic or stiffening preparation agents is used in question.

As a preparation or softening agent and smear z.
