Die vorliegende Erfindung stellt eine wesentliche Neuerung und Verbesserung an elektromagnetischen Erzscheidern mit gegen einander umlaufenden magnetischen Walzen dar, welche durch starke elektrische Ströme concentrate Magnetfelder erzeugen sollen. Werden zwei einander gegenüberstehende Walzen magnetisirt, so findet zwischen ihnen eine starke magnetische Anziehung statt, welche bestrebt ist, den Luftraum zwischen denselben, also das zur magnetischen Erzscheidung bedingte Luftfeld aufzuheben. Zur Sicherung des constanten Polabstandes zwischen den Polen benutzte man bisher starke Federn, sowie starke Achsenlager, um so die schädliche Wirkung des einseitigen Druckes möglichst abzuschwächen. Die hiermit verbundenen Uebelstände beseitigt vorliegende Erfindung;, durch Einführung von Polabstandshaltern in Gestalt von Druckringen wird ein absolut gleichmäfsiger Abstand gesichert.The present invention represents a major innovation and improvement in electromagnetic Ore separators with magnetic rollers rotating against each other, which concentrate by strong electrical currents To generate magnetic fields. Zwei so gekennzeichnete gegenüberstehende Ringe legen sich bei der Magnetisirung der Pole fest auf einander, sichern also nach Mafs ihres Halbmessers den constanten Luftraum zwischen den Polen, wodurch dauernd ein gleichmäfsiges magnetisches Feld erzielt wird und dementsprechend eine gleichmäfsige Anziehung zum Arbeitspol stattfindet. Da nun die PoI-abstandshalter durch wechselseitige Anziehung der W7alzen den magnetischen Druck in sich aufnehmen, wird derselbe aus den Achsenlagern entfernt. Diese haben nur noch das Eigengewicht der Walzen selbst zu tragen. Die Druckringe sind auf der Armatur F, welche zweckmäfsig aus nicht magnetisirbarem Material — Messing, Hartgummi, Päpiermasse u. dergl. — besteht, durch Schrauben befestigt. Dieselben können also leicht ausgewechselt werden; hierdurch wird es möglich, in kurzer Zeit andere Polabstände zwischen den cylindrischen Polflächen zu erhalten und dieselben den Arten und den Korngröfsen der zwischen den Polen hindurchgeführten Erze anzupassen.In the drawings, A and A 1 denote the rollers rotating in opposite directions which rotate in opposite directions.
