Durch die auf diese Weise erhaltene Krümmung wird der Abdrückhebel noch über die durch die Mittelrippe und die Hilfsrippen erzeugte Starrheit hinaus versteift, so daß er sich nicht verbiegt, wenn er zwecks öffnens der Kapsel mit den Fingern nach oben gedrückt wird. In der Praxis wurde gefunden, daß beim Aufbringen der Kapsel mit der Verschließmaschine die Mittelrippe 27 nicht plattgedrückt wird, wenn man sie etwas höher ausbildet als die Faltgrate 20.
