In dieser Stellung der Tür ist die Einwurföffnung 9 freigegeben. Begrenzt wird diese Stellung durch je einen an den Schenkeln 16 und 17 der Stange 15 vorgesehenen Anschlag 27, der sich gegen den Führungswinkel 18 bzw. 19 anlehnt. Verschlossen und gesichert wird die öffnung durch Drükken am Knopf 7 und Verdrehen des Riegels 25 in die Schließstellung. DieseAnordnung hat den Vorteil, daß der Briefkasten mit einer Hand beschickt werden kann. Hierzu braucht der Briefträger nur den Riegel 25 am Knopf 7 zu verdrehen und seine Hand so lange am Knopf zu lassen, bis die Einwurföffnung 9 frei liegt, dann kann er die gleiche Hand zum Posteinwurf benutzen und danach auch die öffnung 9 wieder zuklappen. In Fig. 5 bis 7 ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel gezeigt, bei dem die Führungsstange 15 mit ihren Schenkeln 16,17 beiderseits in je einem Winkel 28 und 29 geführt ist. An Stelle von Federn ist auf jedem der ίο Schenkel 16 und 17 ein Anschlag 30 bzw. 31 befestigt, die auf dem Winkel 28 und 29 in zwei Stellungen arretierbar sind. Hierzu weist die untere Fläche jedes Winkels eine flache Durchdrückung 32 bzw. 33 nach oben auf. Aus Fig. 5 ist die geschlossene Stellung des Briefkastens ersichtlich, wobei der Anschlag 30 bzw. 31 sich unmittelbar hinter dem inneren Ende der Durchdrückung 32 bzw. 33 befindet. Die Tür 2 wird durch die Durchdrückung daran gehindert, sich zu öffnen. Als weitere Sicherung kann ein Sperriegel ähnlich wie im Ausführungsbeispiel gemäß Fig. 3 und 4 vorgesehen sein. Zum Freilegen der Einwurföffnung 9 wird am Knopf 7 gezogen, wobei sich die Anschläge 30 und 31 über die sich nach unten federnd nachgiebige Durchdrückung 32 und 33 hinweg bis zu deren vorderer Begrenzung verschieben, wie in Fig. 6 dargestellt. Die Anschläge 27 begrenzen die vordere Stellung der Tür 2, während die Durchdrükkungen verhindern, daß die Tür 2 in den Kasten 1 zurückklappt. Erst durch leichten Druck auf den Knopf 7 läßt sich die Tür wieder schließen, wozu die Anschläge 30 und 31 über die Durchdrückung hinweg in die Stellung gemäß Fig. 5 gebracht werden müssen. Auch bei diesem Ausführungsbeispiel kann der Briefkasten nur mit einer Hand bedient werden.
