Der Gegenstand der Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Brennstoffzuführung für Petroleummaschinen und ähnliche Verbrennungsmaschinen, welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dafs ein Zwischenmittel, bestehend aus indifferenten Gasen, dazu benutzt wird, die zu einer Arbeitsleistung erforderliche Menge Petroleum (Brennstoff) in den Explosionsraum zu drücken; das Zwischenmittel ist so beschaffen, dafs die Brennstoffmenge nicht durch vorzeitiges Verbrennen verringert wird, was bei Berührung mit heifsen Wandungen oder bei Drucksteigerung geschehen würde, wenn das Zwischenmittel z. B. Luft wäre. Zu diesem Zweck kann z.
