Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
The present invention relates to a sieve head for the drain pipe of filter containers, which is so constructed that when the direction of movement of the water is reversed, for washing out the filter, the water is well distributed in all directions in the filter bed so that the latter is vigorously stirred up, and "the water during the filtration can reach the sieve head from all sides. The arrangement is particularly distinctive in that lateral inclined passages are provided in the sieve head, which due to their location are unaffected by the weight of the filter bed and that Make it easier for the water to enter the sieve head. Of course, the sieve inlets must of the sieve head have a total cross-section which corresponds to the cross-section of the corresponds to the water leading away pipe.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing.
Fig. ι ist ein Verticalschnitt durch einen Filterbehälter.Fig. Ι is a vertical section through a filter container.
Fig. 2 ist eine Ansicht desselben von oben.Fig. 2 is a top view of the same.
Fig. 3 bis 5 zeigen den Siebkopf im Detail.3 to 5 show the sieve head in detail.
The filter container α is filled with any filter material. The pipe b is used to discharge the purified water, which is connected by one or more branches c to a pipe d arranged at the bottom of the container α (FIGS. 1 and 2). The latter has a number of two tubes e, which are equipped with sieve heads f (Fig. 3 to 5). These sieve heads consist of a cone g with a screw socket h, by means of which they are screwed onto the tubes. On the cone sits a lid i, the middle part of which is pressed in downwards so that the lid has an M-shaped cross-section (Fig. 3). The middle part of the lid is not perforated and is somewhat reinforced, in order to divert the upward flow of the washing water towards the edge. Towards the edge, the sieve head covers are provided with curved or inverted V-shaped slots k (FIG. 3), so that the water enters from the sides during filtration and leaves the heads from the side during washing. This ensures that the weight of the filter material has only a slight effect on the water entering and exiting, so that the flow of water through the mouth of the sieve head is facilitated.
