Claims (1)

KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE. Der Gegenstand der Erfindung betrifft eine Zwillings-Kohlen wasserstoffmaschine, bei welcher die Compressionsräume der beiden auf dieselbe Kurbelwelle arbeitenden Cylinder durch ein Rohr mit einander verbunden sind. Hierdurch wird zunächst ein stetiger Druckausgleich in den Arbeitsräumen der beiden Cylinder bewirkt. Aufserdem aber wird die Explosion bezw. die Zündung der Ladung in beiden Arbeitscylindern zu derselben Zeit eintreten, so dafs von jedem der beiden Cylinder genau dieselbe Arbeit auf die Kurbelwelle übertragen wird. Endlich kann bei dieser Maschine in dem einen der beiden Arbeitscylinder infolge irgend welcher Zufälligkeiten die Zündung nicht mehr aussetzen, da sich die in einem Cylinder stattfindende Explosion bezw. Zündung dem Brennstoffluftgemisch des anderen Cylinders in jedem Falle durch das Verbindungsrohr der Arbeitsräume hindurch mittheilt.
