Die Bahn 2 des Sargausschlages 1 ist im Sargunterkasten 5 durch Ziernägel 4 oder sonstwie befestigt und bildet eine Überlappung 7 auf dem Boden desselben. Die Bahn 3 hängt während der Schaustellung des Verstorbenen über die Wandungen des Sargunterkastens so weit heraus, daß diese vollständig verhüllt werden. Die in der Abb. 4 dargestellte dreibahnige Ausbildung des Sargausschlages besteht aus der Innenbahn 10, der Deckenbahn 9 und der Außenbahn 8, welche durch eine Naht 11 oder auf eine andere, an sich bekannte Weise zusammengehalten werden. Die Endkanten 14 der Innenbahn 10 bzw. die entsprechenden Endkanten 15 der Außenbahn 8 überlappen sich beim Einsetzen des Ausschlags in den Sarg. Dadurch ist die Möglichkeit gegeben, einen Sargausschlag bestimmter Länge für verschieden große Särge verwenden zu können. Sowohl der Sargausschlag nach Abb. 3 als auch derjenige nach Abb. 4 kann, wie Abb. 5 zeigt, an jede beliebige Sargform angepaßt werden. Der Sargunterkasten 5 ist am Fußende vielfach niedriger als am Kopfende ausgebildet. In diesem Falle liegt die Naht 11 schräg zur Wandung, während die Befestigung 4 parallel zur Setzleiste 13 angeordnet ist. Es versteht sich, daß bei der taschenförmigen Ausbildung des Sargausschlages es nicht notwendig ist, denselben in jedem Falle zu befestigen, wenngleich eine solche Befestigung unter Umständen auch ihre Vorteile bietet. Es versteht sich ferner, daß, anstatt, wie in Abb. 3 dargestellt, zwei Bahnen nebeneinander anzuordnen, auch vier Bahnen nebeneinander angeordnet werden können bzw. daß die Bahn 3 stark verbreitert werden kann. In diesem Falle würde die Bahn 2 zur Innenauskleidung des Sargunterkastens dienen, wohingegen die Bahn 3 während der Schaustellung so weit herunterhängt, daß die Außenwandungen völlig verhüllt sind, dann umgebogen und wieder nach oben geführt wird und schließlich sich überlappend den Körper des Verstorbenen abdeckt. Gleichgültig, wie auch die Sargauskleidung ausgeführt wird, ob ganz, teilweise oder nicht verziert, ist das Wesentliche der Erfindung, daß jede der Bahnen, die zur Verhüllung des Sargunterkastens dienen, langer als die gesamte obere Umrandung des Sargunterkastens ist sowie daß mindestens zwei Bahnen taschenartig zueinander liegen und, solange der Verstorbene zur Schau gestellt wird, reitsitzartig über die Wandungen des Sargunterkastens hängen und die Außenbahn vor dem Schließen des Sarges nach innen geschlagen wird, so daß sie zwischen dem Deckel und den Setzleisten kein Hindernis bilden kann.
