GUSTAV ELTESTE, in Firma SELTER & EL0ESSER in BERLIN. Treibriemen aus flach gedrückten Schlauchgewebe η.GUSTAV ELTESTE, in the SELTER & EL0ESSER company in BERLIN. Drive belt made of flattened tubular fabric η.
Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 16. September 1879 ab.Patented in the German Empire on September 16, 1879.
These straps do not exist, like all similar artificial straps known so far, made of fabric strips, which are connected or wrapped with one another by rubber or in some other way are, but made of a tubular fabric, essentially made of cotton or Linen fibers, which are flattened and made into a belt. The inner pages of the flattened hose are then not, as before, connected by rubber, that is only soft rubber compound in the heat in between resp. is rolled on it, but in the way that the fibers of the tubular fabric are soaked and penetrated with rubber solution, whereby they are protected against external corrosive influences, without being unnecessarily thick Able to be surrounded by gums that are weakly connected to the tissue a mutual warping of the fabric fibers is allowed much sooner than the connection and wrapping every single fiber through rubber solution.
In addition, the belt has a much greater resistance due to its tubular shape against tension by containing a continuous uninterrupted chain of fabric, which intimately connected by the continuous thread of the tubular fabric and the rubber solution is.
Not only are the two inner sides of the hose facing each other for their sake Compound impregnated with rubber solution, but also the outer sides can be used for protection are treated in the same way against corrosive influences; however, instead of the External impregnation with rubber solution also includes those with firnifs or other correspondingly acting ones Substances are applied.
