In neuerer Zeit verwendet man zur Saturation des Saftes meist cylindrische Gefäfse, in welche das zur Saturation bestimmte Gas durch am Boden liegende Siebrohre eintritt. Zur möglichsten Ausnutzung des Gases hat man verschiedene Anordnungen getroffen, Siebböden (D, R. P. Nr. 18219) oder auch Rührer (D. R. P. Nr. 29039). Auch sind zur Lösung der Kohlensäure bezw. schwefligen Säure in den die Lösung enthaltenden Gefäfsen bewegliche Siebe oder Gefäfse von Metall, Holz, Faserstoffen angebracht, welche mit Verbindungen und Führungsstangen versehen sind, so dafs man die Neigung der Widerstände beliebig verändern kann. Alle diese Vorrichtungen genügen ihrem Zweck nicht und gestatten kein stetiges Arbeiten.
