Abstract

The polygonal rotor (8) has sliding surfaces (10,12) for the operating pistons (16) of the radial piston pump, at least one of which has a surface coating (32) of a ductile material over part or all of its surface. The ductile material may have an elasticity module which is less than that of the material of the polygonal rotor. An independent claim for a manufacturing method for a polygonal rotor for a radial piston pump is also included.
