Abstract
The system to extract foreign bodies from a fiber flow, in a carrier air stream in a channel (1), has an optical detection system (2) which identifies foreign particles (8). A valve (4) is activated at a point downstream of the detection site, activated by a computer (3), to blow the particles into a funnel (5). At the funnel outlet, a suction air flow is generated by a fan (7) to carry the particles out for disposal.
