Abstract
The combination filling and regurgitation prevention valve has a removable filler cap (23) blocking a filler opening (22). A spring-loaded (16) first non-return valve (19) allows fresh oil to be poured in. It prevents regurgitation of oil if the oil circuit is under pressure. The fresh oil flows into an oil cooler (6), a filter (5) and (9) into the engine (1) sump (7). When the engine is running, oil flows through a line (3) from the sump to the oil pump (4). It flows through a channel (11) past a second non-return valve (21) loaded by the same spring as the first. The oil then flows under pressure through the oil cooler, filter and through a pressure line (8) into the engine lubrication system.
