Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
The present invention relates to a new method of making enamelled ones Metal writing surfaces. There are already two procedures relating to this, and we may the same are here mentioned in order to make the present one characteristic and new Better to highlight procedure.
Black or rather slate-gray enameled boards and writing surfaces are said to be patented No. 63910 are produced by sandblasting black enameled iron plates matted, or according to patent no. 77696 by the fact that a mixture on a base of quartz, feldspar, kaolin and at least 15 pCt. Zinc oxide is fritted through Cobalt, copper, manganese, iron and uranium oxide is colored slate gray. According to the first patent Manufactured panels become so rough through matting by means of a sandblasting fan that so-called Stylus eater arise, d. H. the writing stylus becomes blunt very quickly, then the copied pen powder acts as it were as a polishing agent, so that the surface of the board can no longer be used for writing after a relatively short period of time. the Panels fabricated according to the second patent are made even with the finest grinding of what is to be burned Mixture too rough and this coating also goes with prolonged use from, since it is only fritted on the bottom and, because it has not melted, - none has internal connection. Both brands also always receive one more or less light gray color, so that the stylus strokes do not stand out sufficiently, as this one does It is imperative to protect the eyes of the writing children. The fact that neither worked at home nor abroad according to both patents, despite various attempts is, speaks most for the practical rejection of the procedure.
The present invention is a method according to which black enamelled Blackboards and writing surfaces are produced that show an extremely delicate writing surface, which the gray stylus lines - ^ - also the the finest lines of hair - let them stand out sharply, thus protecting the eyes and also retain the ability to write in the long run.
Β. Schwefelwasserstoffe oder Schwefelnatrium,, an, so rindet noch durch theilweise Umwandlung der in derThe process consists in first of all directing metal plates of any shape or coated on a ground with an inherently deep black enamel, which thereby it is still excellent that chromium oxide and copper oxide in a mixture, or their salts, suspended therein, i.e. not dissolved by melting. Both can also be used alone or mixed with other black-staining metal oxides or salts. This deep black, extremely firmly adhering enamel layer is either in gaseous or aqueous hydrofluoric or other acid or a mixture thereof, or also in alkaline Alkalis or salts or corrosive acidic salt solutions, e.g. B. nickel nitrate and so on, carefully matted, so that the gloss of the glass has just disappeared. If you apply the acids and alkalis with sulfur compounds, ζ. Β. Hydrogen sulphide or sodium sulphide, still rind through partial transformation of the
Enamel suspended metal oxides in metals of sulfur, a further coloration of the panels next to instead of matting. The panels thus matted in one way or another become simple washed and dried, whereupon they show a very dark, extremely fine, delicate surface, which is much better suited for writing with a stylus etc., like slate, since this one without The paintwork, of course, does not last long, is much lighter and also rougher. These enamelled Boards can also be made in a known manner like slates with red or other colored ones Lines are provided. The framing is also done in a known manner.
